Under Weststand Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 Lets get the job done today please Saints, early goal would be nice to calm the nerves. Would be an Ideal chance for Sharpe to get of & running if Lee & Gully are both ruled out! 3-1 Saints & stay at least 5-pts clear.
Manuel Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 Regardless of other results, I have a feeling that if we win this one, we're going to start to witness some serious pressure on those sitting in 2nd and 3rd. Watch for the cracks. COYR!

Watch for the cracks. COYR! indeed..if we win and the other two don't, then the pressure is on. or failing that, saints and reading win please...to put us 10 points from west ham
Appy Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 (edited) Strange that it's March and it's our last Saturday 3pm game of the season. Edited 24 March, 2012 by Appy
Window Cleaner Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 Strange that it's March and it's our last Saturday 3pm game of the season. Only because one of our home games is Pompey, that's the OB's doing and not the TV.
SaintRobbie Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 3 for Sharp today! He's got some catching up to do with Rickie!
Evil Monkey Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 Anyone read in the Sun the other day that Fabrice Fernandes may be in the squad for Donny today? Hasnt played a game in 4 years apparently.

Is he out of gaol then? Can't remember how long he got, maybe it was just provisional detention or something like that.
VectisSaint Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 Anyone read in the Sun the other day that Fabrice Fernandes may be in the squad for Donny today? Hasnt played a game in 4 years apparently. Hope so, easy to snuff out any threat from him. Just stand still and let him run rings round you 3 or 4 times then take the ball off him because he will be knackered. One of the most frustrating players we ever had, could have been so much better if they had installed a brain in him to go with his undoubted talent.

Still always found him very frustrating but agree he did do some decent stuff in his day, but could and should have been so much better.

Top work on the lucky boxers, I will also be doing my bit by having my lucky fag before the game, so get ready Julian.. To be honest I don't think he is still playing, don't hink he's even signed on with Doncaster as yet, he was on trial at one time but I don't know what the outcome of that was. He's been out of football for a long time, think he last played for Le Havre back in 2008 ish.Since then he's had all sorts of incidents, at one time he was in prison for extorting money from his agent or something like that.If FF is the best Doncaster can find then they're desperate.
dubai_phil Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 Ooh ooh! Wow Could this be D_P in with some early team news!!?? Nigel Adkins @Nigel_Adkins @stief87 get a healthy breakfast in you big lad. Need a top performance today. Retweeted by Steve De Ridder
Window Cleaner Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 Ooh ooh! Wow Could this be D_P in with some early team news!!?? Hope it's not a Belgian brekky though, half a litre of gros rouge and 2 litres of Gueuze
farawaysaint Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 Ooh ooh! Wow Could this be D_P in with some early team news!!?? Steve and Billy get a run out? Really want both to do well as they both seem like such likeable blokes, (based solely on their public personas as I don't have the time/effore/inclination to go stalk our footballers like some )
Glasgow_Saint Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 Saints unbeaten in 11 league games-won 6 of previous 7 Donny won 1 in 12 and only 8 wins in last 56
NY Saint Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 Ooh ooh! Wow Could this be D_P in with some early team news!!?? Hate to break it to you big man, but the Nigel Adkins Twitter account is an impersonator. De Ridder and Sharp are real though.
Saint Garrett Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 Yer, but the point is that he retweeted it.
del boy Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 Saints unbeaten in 11 league games-won 6 of previous 7 Donny won 1 in 12 and only 8 wins in last 56 we can see where this is heading then, just need a long list of Donny injuries to put the complete mockers on it
Cascadia Saint Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 ah... tw at. you lot haven't changed your clocks yet which means i didn't have to get out of bed for another hour, dammit. My head is killing me, I'll be back in an hour.

saintant Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 The weather is going to be a factor. Just watching Chelsea and Spurs and they've decided to play at walking pace because of the heat - it's pretty pedestrian and low key. Hope we don't resort to that or it could be a boring nil-nil stalemate. I think we have to put on a high tempo performance from the off regardless of the temperature. The time to ease up is when we are a couple of goals in front.
Thedelldays Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 Davis. Butterfield, Fonte©, Hooiveld, Fox. De Ridder, Cork, Schneiderlin, Lallana. Sharp, Lambert Harding, Barnard, Hammond, Martin and Chaplow
Bad Wolf Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 Saints Vs Doncaster Rovers: Davis. Butterfield, Fonte©, Hooiveld, Fox. De Ridder, Cork, Schneiderlin, Lallana. Sharp, Lambert
RobM Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 Davis. Butterfield, Fonte©, Hooiveld, Fox. De Ridder, Cork, Schneiderlin, Lallana. Sharp, Lambert Love the look of that team!
Cascadia Saint Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 Hahaha - so that's you today & Eric last Tuesday ROFL It's better than getting up an hour late I suppose...
CWD Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 On paper, that team is pretty impressive. If SDR performs then the balance of midfield looks cracking. I wonder if Richardson is injured, or if NA wants to get deeper crosses in again? He did this before, but I forget who the opposition was.

I wonder if Richardson is injured, or if NA wants to get deeper crosses in again? He did this before, but I forget who the opposition was. That was against Middlesbrough, and we promptly scored 2 first half goals, all from Butterfield's deep crosses.
dubai_phil Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 Ooh ooh! Wow Could this be D_P in with some early team news!!?? Well that is a first! Like the look of that side though hope SDR can now perform for the 90. Suppose we should have a small concern that with him & Butterfield down the right Danny may lack a bit of match fitness and leave us a little exposed. And great to see Barnard back in the mix as well. Oh and to Solent - FFS ask Nige how long Lee could be out for!
alpine_saint Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 Saints Vs Doncaster Rovers: Davis. Butterfield, Fonte©, Hooiveld, Fox. De Ridder, Cork, Schneiderlin, Lallana. Sharp, Lambert Not completely comfortable with that team. Too many changes for my liking.
Cumbria Saint Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 Yes, Richardson is injured. My brother has Silver Hospitabilty today and Richardson was their 'guest speaker'. He confirmed he was injured.
Viking Warrior Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 See I knew Barnard will be on the bench and he will come on and score
mitch01 Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 No Rodriguez for Burnley. Should make WHU's task a little easier.
ericofarabia Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 Just having a pre match blast of The Saints are Coming, This Perfect Day (By The Saints) and Billy Hunt for Mr Sharp. No beers - work straight after final whistle, but a HT Shepherds Pie. COYS
CWD Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 Not completely comfortable with that team. Too many changes for my liking. It's all about the squad. Just be thankful that we can make those changes and still put out such a strong team!
Nexstar Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 Think that's a really good team. Fully expect a goal from a Butterfield -> Lambert cross
vince Posted 24 March, 2012 Posted 24 March, 2012 No Rodriguez for Burnley. Should make WHU's task a little easier. I see Fat Sams gone with 4 strikers and no (loanee) keeper on the bench as well. Lets just hope we do our bit and keep the gap, then the pressure will build on every game.
