Fan The Flames Posted 22 March, 2012 Share Posted 22 March, 2012 Wasn't it 1948 when Engleburt Humperdinck represented England in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Norm Posted 22 March, 2012 Share Posted 22 March, 2012 That feeling was quoted regularly until we finally went up to division one in 1966. I was at Springhill School across from the Dell and still remember the disappointmen in the town. Maybe now people will understand why we have Sharp, Lee, Connolly, Barnard, Lambert and Guly. So was I! What year did you leave? As for Duncan's post, I just knew someone would mention that slip up!
Nutwood2 Posted 22 March, 2012 Share Posted 22 March, 2012 Just as a matter of interest FF, you say you still visit Bill Ellerington. Does he by any chance live in Stubbington? I only ask as my Mother who is in her ninetys and a big Saints fan got talking to an elderly guy a few years back who said he played for Saints with Alf Ramsey and she never found out who he was. Just wondering if it was Bill?
