This Charming Man Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 Easy one to get to for us London based Saints. I gather this will make general sale being a tuesday night! Should be a cracker Won't even sell out. Think we can have around 4,500 tickets thanks to the terrace.
rick1976.4.38 Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 you cant beat a terrace, was brill last season.hopefuly we get three points
This Charming Man Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 I was stood on the Sudtribune last weekend at Dortmund with 25,000 others and it was a truly amazing experience. It saddens me that the best terrace this country has to offer is a few thousand capacity one at Peterborough.
Iowsaintsfan Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 Tempted to go to this, could be a struggle to get back to the islandd though!
Lighthouse Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 Went last year and certainly got my money's worth, 4-4 draw having thrown away a 2 goal lead twice. I don't think I can take many more games like that this season but a draw wouldn't be bad. FWIW I parked on Oundle Road behind a pub. Can't remember the name, but there were a few car parks along that road, about 10 minutes walk away.
rick1976.4.38 Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 plenty of off street parking on london road and its about a ten minute walk.would love to do the dortmund terrace, how football should be watched by fans.
This Charming Man Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 plenty of off street parking on london road and its about a ten minute walk.would love to do the dortmund terrace, how football should be watched by fans. With a beer in one hand and a bratwurst in the other. Heaven.
geordiesaint Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 "This charming man" - are you by any chance based in Hamburg? If so I don't suppose you know anywhere that will be showing the Blackpool game on the 31st March?
This Charming Man Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 "This charming man" - are you by any chance based in Hamburg? If so I don't suppose you know anywhere that will be showing the Blackpool game on the 31st March? I'm not based in Hamburg but been there a few times. Head to The London Pub on the Reeperbahn, they have Sky Sports and the bird behind the bar will put the game on for you. Red Light is a 2 min walk from there so you can even treat yourself to some half time entertainment.
This Charming Man Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 Only problem is its on BBC! Ah, of course. Ha. Still, London Pub would probably be your best bet. They'll probably be able to get it on some dodgy feed. It's a right dump of a place but serves a purpose as when it opens it's doors on Friday afternoon, it won't close again until Monday.
This Charming Man Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 Nice one. Thanks mate Drop them an email, see if they're showing it; http://www.london-pub.de/
KK the 2nd Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 Should be good. Anyone know when the tickets go on sale for this?
rshephard3 Posted 27 March, 2012 Posted 27 March, 2012 Should be good. Anyone know when the tickets go on sale for this? Now starting to wonder the same thing. We should be due a monster allocation and am really looking forward to this as I think it might be 'the one'.. Surprised a date hasn't been posted for ticket sales of this one, I'm excited already, booked the time off work months ago!
This Charming Man Posted 27 March, 2012 Posted 27 March, 2012 Imagine they'll go on sale within the next week or so. Fear not though, there will be more than enough tickets to go around.
ben05 Posted 27 March, 2012 Posted 27 March, 2012 I Fell this could really be "the one". Got a training day at work in Angel! 4pm finish straight to Kings X. Cant wait for this one. Missed out on the cracker of a game last season at London road.
rick1976.4.38 Posted 28 March, 2012 Posted 28 March, 2012 the hammers took 5000 to posh last night so heres hoping we get the same amount of tickets,it will be rockin on the terrace if we do
Lets B Avenue Posted 28 March, 2012 Posted 28 March, 2012 Should be good. Anyone know when the tickets go on sale for this? On sale next Monday. according to the TO yesterday.
rshephard3 Posted 29 March, 2012 Posted 29 March, 2012 On sale next Monday. according to the TO yesterday. Expect an article on the OS before the wkend explaining ticketing then.. Honestly believe this will be the one to go to for an away day promotion party.
Jack Posted 29 March, 2012 Posted 29 March, 2012 Expect an article on the OS before the wkend explaining ticketing then.. Honestly believe this will be the one to go to for an away day promotion party. I fecking hope not. Working nights in Devon so no chance of getting to Posh. I think they'll save it for Middlesbrough, and set up a huge southern invasion of the North East.
Dan Posted 29 March, 2012 Posted 29 March, 2012 I hope we dont get promoted at Peterborough, my train back to Sheffield means I have to miss the last 10 minutes. If we secure promotion it will be a long night at Peterborough station!

If we secure promotion it will be a long night at Peterborough station! Noting more would satisfy me knowing that you're sat outside Peterborough train station, freezing cold and being eyed up by two tramps with homosexual tendencies whilst we're celebrating our way back down South.

That's a normal Tuesday night out for the student bum.

That's a normal Tuesday night out for the student bum. Mash, get back to planning saturdays session. We dont want a repeat of Birmingham! ..as for you Charming, Il have the last laugh when your looking for somewhere to stay after the Coventry game when we come bowling out of Lennons.
This Charming Man Posted 30 March, 2012 Posted 30 March, 2012 Mash, get back to planning saturdays session. We dont want a repeat of Birmingham! ..as for you Charming, Il have the last laugh when your looking for somewhere to stay after the Coventry game when we come bowling out of Lennons. You'll let me stay, purely as you'll want my business in the morning. £25 for a lift home...?
Dog Posted 30 March, 2012 Posted 30 March, 2012 Will you be able to pay on the gate, as I'm off to Holland saturday morning for a week. ? . ?
This Charming Man Posted 30 March, 2012 Posted 30 March, 2012 If we can get promoted it probably will sell out or come very close so could be touch and go. If we can't get promoted you'd be able to buy yourself a couple of thousand tickets on the day.
stockportsaint Posted 1 April, 2012 Posted 1 April, 2012 Dan Come visit the Northern Saints facebook page and post on there, there's sure to be someone that can drop you off in Sheffield on their way back north. I should be travelling back to Stockport afterwards, and I'd normally go via Sheffield. And if I'm not going for whatever reason, there's bound to be someone else - there's quite a few of us planning on going. BTW are you the same Dan I gave a lift back from Cardiff? If so, drop me a text and we'll sort something out. Matt
adysaint Posted 2 April, 2012 Posted 2 April, 2012 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2707077,00.html We have received 1,000 (!?) Terrace tickets and 728 seated tickets for the trip to London Road on Tuesday 17th April.[/url]These tickets are located in the Moys End Stand for the 7.45pm kick-off.Season ticket holders will have priority to get their tickets from 9am on Monday 2nd April.Subject to availability, tickets will go on general sale from Monday 9th April. WTF!!! That's gotta be a typo!
stevegrant Posted 2 April, 2012 Posted 2 April, 2012 That'll be an initial allocation... also with it being a midweek game and likely to be less popular than Middlesbrough, making the allocation seem smaller might force fans to buy earlier out of urgency which will then get the extra tickets released sooner.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 2 April, 2012 Posted 2 April, 2012 They're currently available online to everyone I think, even though it's only meant to be ST holders...
Sour Mash Posted 2 April, 2012 Posted 2 April, 2012 They're currently available online to everyone I think' date=' even though it's only meant to be ST holders...[/quote'] Our on-line system can't cope with any kind of control mechanism over who buys tickets. At least that should mean this initial allocation sells out quickly. Looking forward to this one.
lb_saint Posted 2 April, 2012 Posted 2 April, 2012 Just got mine - I'm on the database but not a ST holder
stevegrant Posted 2 April, 2012 Posted 2 April, 2012 Just got mine - I'm on the database but not a ST holder I think they've given up caring about whether the online system actually restricts sales to eligible people now, earlier in the season tickets weren't even available online when it was one per ST holder. Now they just can't be arsed if non-ST holders get tickets. Fortunately for a game like this with such a big potential allocation, it shouldn't be an issue.
Mattio Posted 2 April, 2012 Posted 2 April, 2012 Is there any way back to Southampton from this on the same night?
Sour Mash Posted 2 April, 2012 Posted 2 April, 2012 Is there any way back to Southampton from this on the same night? Can get back by train via London, although it'd obviously be a late one. Or there is various coach options.
sotonjoe Posted 3 April, 2012 Posted 3 April, 2012 Is there any way back to Southampton from this on the same night? Car?
Turkish Posted 3 April, 2012 Posted 3 April, 2012 Is there any way back to Southampton from this on the same night? Driving is best mate, that's what i'm doing, took about 2 1/2 hours last season. The train is a ball ache, think it's at least 2 stops. Mind you, you'll be glad not to have to be back to catch a train when we are celebrating promotion on the pitch there.
