Under Weststand Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Great header by Cork to pick Fonte out & a really composed cross for Jos to net a simple tap in Fantastic!
Ohio Saint Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Diddly dum- diddly dee! Diddly dum- diddly dee! Diddly dum- diddly dee!
SO16_Saint Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 What I loved tonight was that Skate git Walsh through gritted teeth saying how comfortable we were. Fantastic result lets not do a usual and blow it on Saturday. Winning and consistency is the new 'usual'
dubai_phil Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Solent - nothing about us for ages Until they Diddly Dee again
mitch01 Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Ever since that very dark day of Leicester at home we have been superb. Now to ram to advantage home this weekend!
trousers Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 I can't wait to see it just for the wackiness!! Was just a tap across the 6 yard box rather than a fully fledged cross (as Fonte was still up after the set piece) but still a tad surreal to watch!
david in sweden Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Hands up those of us who have maintained all season that we would go up top..... *smug* well YES, I did, too !
beatlesaint Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 i love reading KUMB....they farking hate big fat sam I can't believe he tried to settle for 1-0 at home.....madness they scored a 90th min equaliser and a flukey goal to net them 2 points massive LOL To be fair you cant blame them for hating him. He is, thankfully, a prize pillock who has this premiership mentality that if one up hold what you have.....doesnt work so well in the Championship does it Sam ? :-)
madruss Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Excellent win, and from the sounds of Radio Solent, a thoroughly professional job. Oh, and can we please stop using Carlsberg to express happiness in a situation? I could understand it if Carlsberg (the beer) was in any way good, but it isn't. We all know it isn't. Don't dilute the team's achievement by regurgitating the sh*t you swallow. If carlsberg did grumpy buggers..
ooh it's a corner Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 NOW I want to do the Beeb prediction league. Even being as stingy as possible towards Saints, it'll be tough to get us to finish in the play-offs. West Ham and Reading have to meet - and I think we could be the nail in Reading's coffin when they visit SMS. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/predictor/default.stm
trousers Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 What I loved tonight was that Skate git Walsh through gritted teeth saying how comfortable we were. Yeah, he wasn't happy was he!
Ohio Saint Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Why am I still listening to these tossers on Solent? Get on with it you pillocks!!
saintant Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Fantastic win tonight and that's four away wins in a row. If we win our four remaining home games Reading would need to win six out of seven games. It's looking very good now.
kpturner Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Back in hotel in Hull - cannot decide whether to go straight to the bar or have one off the wrist first :-)
alpine_saint Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Just been across to KUMB. They seem to have given up catching us. Fixated only by Reading.
Colinjb Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 I'm starting to believe. A league (any league!) win in my lifetime.
John Boy Saint Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Back in hotel in Hull - cannot decide whether to go straight to the bar or have one off the wrist first :-) go on spoil yourself rotten!!
Whitey Grandad Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Back in hotel in Hull - cannot decide whether to go straight to the bar or have one off the wrist first :-) Both, but try not to spill anything.
Ohio Saint Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Back in hotel in Hull - cannot decide whether to go straight to the bar or have one off the wrist first :-) I recommend going to the bar and having one off the wrist there. You will win friends and influence people.
ericofarabia Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Lol at our p!ss poor away form ..... ha ha ha
alpine_saint Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Awesome. Wonder how the west ham forums are doing? They appear to be in mourning.
pap Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 If carlsberg did grumpy buggers.. Rawrrrrrrr! Aaaaargh, etc.
Ohio Saint Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Adkins coming up on Solent shortly He diddly won't if they don't diddly get on with it!!
dubai_phil Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Back in hotel in Hull - cannot decide whether to go straight to the bar or have one off the wrist first :-) Just have one in the bar,
alpine_saint Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Adkins on Solent now I got Paul Miller talking about weeds and synchronised swimming..
Ohio Saint Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Just have one in the bar, This why bars in Skatesmuff will no longer be full of tossers.
Saint137 Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Awesome. And with Wham and Reading having to play each other promotion is looking more likely. But **** that, I want us to win that trophy...
dubai_phil Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Lol at our p!ss poor away form ..... ha ha ha Shouldn't you be in bed? After all, you're gonna have to be in bed all day tomorrow. Good to hear Nige has the Line under it already
krissyboy31 Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Well I thought about starting a back from the game thread but decided to add to this one. Decent performance and really never in doubt from the time we scored the first. They kept Rickie pretty quiet but just allowed Lallana, Morgan and Cork to pretty much boss the game. The defence was pretty spot on. Joss won just about everything air and they were reduced mainly to long range shots. Not spectacular but efficient and I'll take that every game from now till the end of the season.
kpturner Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Just have one in the bar,Good shout! I'm off......
Viking Warrior Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Some ugly bird just walked into the motor hoose said she was from Shirley didn't know what a fellow scummer was . How sad is that
Brizzie Saints Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Oh and our U21's beat the wet spammers 1-0 away http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2685817,00.html
krissyboy31 Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Back in hotel in Hull - cannot decide whether to go straight to the bar or have one off the wrist first :-)Just remember which hand the glass is in.
Lighthouse Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/predictor/default.stm I had us as Champions on 88, with the others on 86 and Reading ahead by 1 goal. I was pretty stingy though, didn't have us winning any away games and only drawing with Reading.
Ohio Saint Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Just remember which hand the glass is in. Hmmm He should ask for a clean empty glass. There is a market for premium man seed.
SuperSAINT Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 What a night for us. Bloody brilliant stuff. Had us down as dropping points tonight so 3pts is massive bonus. (Not often I'm very fond of Darren Ferguson, but tonight is one of them).
SNSUN Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Weekend's fixtures: Burnley vs West Ham Reading vs Blackpool Southampton vs Doncaster. I reckon wins for us and West Ham there, but Reading to draw against Blackpool.
suewhistle Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Awesome. Wonder how the west ham forums are doing? probably crashed...
bender Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 I would have been happy if we'd stayed top 2 after these last 2 games, and weve masively extended our lead. We could easily extend our lead further this Sat and then when we do have a tough game, the others play each other. Really think we could get this done and dusted weeks before the end of the season.
supergoose Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 A perfect night. Big respect to the Saints fans who made the trip.
Shufty Zubrik Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Meanwhile over at West Ham: by bombay590 on Tue Mar 20, 2012 10:46 pm I've seen some crap over the years but that was ***** of the highest order. This has to be the most over rated and over paid team we've ever assembled. There's not what i'd call a " footballer " in the side. A collection of broad shouldered six footers with nothing much to offer than brawn ! Allardyce came with a reputation that was well deserved for the rubbish his teams serve up, but we hoped that the trade off would be a ticket to the promised premiership land. That side would be relegated by xmas I pray that some grim northern ****hole will entice this horrible, ugly boring unadventurous and negative northern **** back in the summer I look around and I see smaller, poorer clubs than ours playing or at least trying to play, cultured, clever neat football. This crap is neanderthal FFS Get him back oop north PDQ Could have told him that after we beat them 1-0. Anyway, Those who the Gods wish to destroy they first make mad.
Reynoldson!! Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Lol at our p!ss poor away form ..... ha ha ha I knew it was good, but I wasn't sure just how good so I just did a quick check of the last 7 we have won 5 and drawn 2 - the draws against Brum and Wham. Outstanding!
dubai_phil Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/championship/9156179/Hull-City-0-Southampton-2-match-report.html Good write up apart from mistaking Fonte for Richardson
supersonic Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 right, we have 4 remaining home games, 3 of which are against the 3 teams currently occupying the relegation zone. Win those 4 games, and we're up
Saints foreva Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 another bit of good news, if you can take it.. Readings Jason Roberts has torn his hamstring in tonights game at P'boro 4-5 weeks out Where has this come from? Can only see people on Twitter saying he's pulled it.
