What the hell happened to him?

Nothing "happened to him" apart from a brief injury, he is still here it is just that Saints have a large squad with strong competition for places and can only name 5 subs each match. Some people have to miss out as Saints have a squad larger than 16.

Strange signing by Spurs, at 18 it would look about right but at 22 with no real track record. I can't really see where he fits in.

To be honest I think he probably be of more use to Spurs than he is to us right now. I mean they're using some of their outer fringe players already, surely Falqué must be worth more to them than say Livermore.

Think he'll still play a part. Puncheon/SDR/Chaplow/Guly all have their moments at RM but no-one has made the position their own. I thought Falque showed flashes of ability in his brief outing. Hardly helps getting 45 mins with the rest of the team putting in their worst performance of the season. He's never played with Lambert either.

I thought Falque was a Left-sided midfielder, certainly looked that way when he played his only game. Thats why he's not getting a look-in, we're not going to drop Lallana to give the guy a go.

Was a strange signing by us. Conspiracies would suggest that there may be something else linked to this.

Such as? What could there be that couldn't wait until June?

Falqué would be far better off at a club where he was getting some first team football. Unless of course he's just here to profit from our Sports Science department to get fit before the Olympics but then they must have one of those at Tottenham...Oh it's Arry, maybe not then.

He was a NC signing.

I'm pretty sure we signed him as an emergency measure for flair in case Lallana stayed injured, which he was when Falque signed. His performance in the one match we had suggested he'd at best need a run in the side to get used to playing for us, which we couldn't offer him, and then we got Puncheon and Chaplow back too, and he's nowhere near the team.

He does seem to be ahead of Lee Holmes and Johnno Forte though...

Given we aren't using him in the 2nd tier, why would Tottenham want to do that if we were a 1st tier team next season?

Well, if Spurs wanted him for a couple of years time, it could have been pre-arranged that we'd have him for a couple of seasons to get him used to the English game. Unlikely I know but he's likely to be a lot closer to our first team squad than theirs.

Given that Spurs are likely to be playing a load of European matches alongside their Prem games and fielded a bunch of kids a few times this season he might get more games with them than us - though that assumes Redknapp is still there and still using the same methods.

No, of course not, but it's nice to have some reasonable back-up in the event of a serious injury - don't you think ?
