Micky Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 Really rooting for the guy, hope and pray this turns out ok. Was on such a high after our result, but this puts it all into perspective really. Come on Fabrice Muamba.
Dimond Geezer Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 BREAKING: Ambulance crew confirms that they got Muamba breathing again. The important thing is how long it took to get him breathing, after 3-4 minutes the patient starts to get irrepairable brain damage.
Golden Balls Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 It was on twitter. Oh. Well really pray it's true. But that news couldn't have come from a more unreliable source
scotty Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 Thats dreadful. Poor lad, only 23, as others have said above it doesnt sound good if he was not breathing for ten minutes. Can only hope and pray for him.
darren2 Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 GWS, hope he pulls through. As an after thought (And I know this is a forum), but can we keep away from speculation and keep to facts. There will be a lot of rumours going around, good and bad and they only do harm.
PaulSaint Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 Represented England at 16, 17, 18, 21, etc. All the best fella!
SO16_Saint Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 Nothing but positive thoughts for him. Hope he pulls through.
St Chalet Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 I've merged the thread from main, lounge and General Sports Forums into this one. Shocking news, thoughts are with him and his family at this time.
COMEONYOUREDS Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 this is terrible, get well soon Fabrice! fingers crossed...
jasonb Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 Shocked by this, on the back of some terrible personal news too... really hope for some positive news in the next few hours.
dubai_phil Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 Jeez, just read this on here. Hope the lad pulls through
aintforever Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 Great news. Hats off to the heros of our ambulance service and hospitals.
Gemmel Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 Well done to the mod that moved this.....give yourself a slap on the back. (***t)
krissyboy31 Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 Great news but I'd imagine he is not out of the woods yet. Let's hope he makes a full recovery.
sad saints fan Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 Muamba is stable! good news,it puts other football matters into perspective when these things happen.
St Chalet Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 (edited) Gemmel, 5 threads in 3 places. Let me know where you would like it. As a young man fights for his life, getting this topic into the right forum really does seem critical. Edited 17 March, 2012 by St Chalet
Honk Kong Phooey Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 This is great news, I hope he makes a full recovery. Keeping praying for him

Gemmel Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 Lets hope he can pull through. Puts the game in perspective....and even though it's not Saints related, it should still be on this forum IMO, Thoughts are with him and family. Of course it should be. Some stupid mod thought they would exercise the only authority they have in thier lives because they are sad. Fookk off
SuperMikey Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 Of course it should be. Some stupid mod thought they would exercise the only authority they have in thier lives because they are sad. Fookk off What's to get upset about? It's a thread being moved ffs...
Dimond Geezer Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 Of course it should be. Some stupid mod thought they would exercise the only authority they have in thier lives because they are sad. Fookk off Is that really necessary?

Fookk off Erm, it is on the Main Board and has been since before you starting moaning about it. Saint137 Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 If you want to know what to do if this happens in front of you, watch this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILxjxfB4zNk&feature=youtube_gdata_player My dad is still here 7 years on from a cardiac arrest due to a member of the public knowing what to do until the ambulance arrived. He was down for 8 minutes, and his heart stopped three more times in the ambulance. Came out of it pretty much intact, Muamba is a fit young lad so fingers crossed he will be OK.

As a young man fights for his life, getting this topic into the right forum really does seem critical. Ignore him mate, some people just aren't worth it. I appreciate what you - and all the other mods - do. Hoping Muamba pulls through, looks promising.
Colinjb Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 Someone has just said they understand he started breathing again. Really hope that's true. Please be true. Sad to say all this hear'say is reminding me of poor Dan Wheldon last October. Come on Fabrice, fight!
ottery st mary Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 Come on lad.....you can do it.. Hoping for the best for Muamba...
Micky Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 Promising news, not out of the woods yet, but looking better. Fookin' love medics.
krissyboy31 Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 Nothing on the beeb yet... Sky Sports @SkySports Close Bolton's Fabrice Muamba in a 'stable condition' after collapse at Tottenham, according to hospital statement. We'll bring you more shortly.
Viking Warrior Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 Conflicting news sky says he is stable but Bbc still have it that he is fighting for his life that fact that there were paramedics doctors and a cardiologist on the scene is excellent news for him and his family
krissyboy31 Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 Conflicting news sky says he is stable but Bbc still have it that he is fighting for his life that fact that there were paramedics doctors and a cardiologist on the scene is excellent news for him and his familyEven if his condition is stable he is likely to be in ITU for several days and could still deteriorate. I don't think there is really a contradiction here.
SO16_Saint Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 Muamba now critically ill in heart attack centre.
Crazy Diamond Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 Conflicting news sky says he is stable but Bbc still have it that he is fighting for his life that fact that there were paramedics doctors and a cardiologist on the scene is excellent news for him and his family The BBC won't say anything unless it's 100% confirmed. Sky Sports News are happy to run rumours and speculation, such is the nature of sports news television - without rumour and speculation, they've not much to report. Sky News, different to Sky Sports News, is kind of similar to the BBC in their stance. To give you an example, on July 7th 2005 when the London bombings were taking place, a Sky News correspondent, not on duty, was walking towards Tavistock Square and saw with his own eyes the bus explode. He rang up to get put on air and Sky centre said no as there had been no official confirmation of it - despite the correspondent being a few hundred yards from it and seeing it himself.
krissyboy31 Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 Sky Sports @SkySports Reply Retweet Favorite · Open Fabrice Muamba admitted to heart attack centre at London Chest Hospital, in "critically ill" condition and in intensive care.

Thedelldays Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 apparently, a spurs fan in the stand is a heart specialist ran/got onto the pitch to give assistance
Saint137 Posted 17 March, 2012 Posted 17 March, 2012 Amazing reaction from the stands in the footage I've seen, proud to be a football fan today. I remember that sick feeling when that Plymouth? player was injured at SMS a few seasons ago and he didn't move for a few mins, fortunately he was just knocked out...
