Dalek is officially wrong

It was mathematically guaranteed before today. It isn't as simple as looking like at what 17th can get, with teams having to play each other there simply wasn't enough points in the league for enough teams to get more than Southampton for Saints to finish 17th for quite a while. ;)

I don't mind the negativity pre season so much, or when its a wind up. It's the mid game bed wetting I find embarrassing. Apparently saints had been found out...despite being in the top 2 ALL season. No perspective, no insight, no patience, no gratitude, no objectivity and no clue.

Exactly this. No bottle and ZERO understanding of football.

Let's be fair to Dalek, if we made a thread each time a SaintsWeb poster was wrong, the Pompey Takeover Thread would pale in comparison.

Not really. If it takes you to March 17th when we have been top two all season to finally concede that you're wrong about a ludicrous prediction in the first place then that's different to just being wrong.

TBF I personally think the guy has just been on a wind up all season.

I can't blame many of you for your harsh words.

however, I will be happy to be proven wrong and I am still happy !

I have found it all really funny so you won't get insults from me.

I think the mistake you made was thinking about money being spent and volume of signings. I know little about the real ability of most potential signings that get mentioned, but it was pretty obvious after 5 or 6 games that the work ethic and team spirit that had been built here was going to make us at least competitive at this level. That will be true however the seasons finishes up.
