why are they faffing around with an extra 1000 , just get the full lot on sale!!

I'd imagine they're now having to pay up front for the extra tickets and so are gonna just sell each batch before asking for more rather than ending up out of pocket. This of course aint gonna happen as in a weeks time when they're all gone they'll be countless on here saying how sh*te it is as they've missed out.

If it gets to a general sale it could get frantic - they'll be a lot of lads that usually play local football over a weekend that will be looking to get up for this one.

when i phoned just b4 five today, the girl in the ticket office said all sold of the first allocation and getting 3000 tomorrow afternoon.fingers crossed some of those may get to general sale

Says on the OS that they've sold 3000 but have asked for another 1000. I guess they're just selling them in bits to make sure they sell out.

Ah like alehouseboys just said!!

Makes sense to do it that way and there's plenty of time to flog them, not like that's going to be an issue though after we shifted over 3,000 in 2 days on restricted sale.

Ok experts give us your opinion... Will they get to general sale?
Yes they will. Most people going have got caught up in the hype and rushed to get their tickets already. Sales will slow down a fair bit now. Even if they don't make general sale, expect a fair few spares to be offered for sale on here.

Think we've been given the whole of one side
For what it's worth, I think he meant "end" as in the general term for an "away end", as opposed to an actual end of the ground. If we're being pedantic, we haven't got the whole side stand, few blocks left for segregation. Edited by Sour Mash

Looking on their forum, if the demand allows it some of the blocks in the "sterile" areas can be given to us.

Chairmen posting on forums always ends in tears. Just look at Wilde and Lowe.

To be fair, as far as I'm aware, he'd been posting on various fan forums for years before he headed up the consortium that bought the club out of administration a couple of years ago. As long as he doesn't go acting the prat or changing into full PR-spiel mode, I don't really see a problem with it. Reading that thread, he doesn't appear to be the sort who panders to other fans, he seems quite level-headed and objective - hence them giving us 6k tickets because they know they won't sell anywhere near enough.

From what I can work out we're currently selling the batch between 4,100 and 5,000. Which at a guess would mean there is likely to be the final batch of 800 available for general sale.

Reckon well sell 5800 easily. Be nice to take more than that. Guarantee promotion in front of a mental end. Seeing as drawing there in 2005 pretty much relegated us

I wasn't far wrong :)

There is going to be a scramble for these then. I have said it before but I'll say it again, it is such a bullsh)t system where a season ticket holder can buy 16 tickets for him and his mates while the others get left with the scraps. Season ticket holder - fine, season ticket holder plus mate -mmmm, season ticket holder + anyone they know - F^ck right off.

Absolutely this. I've been to pretty much every northern away game and it accounts for **** all. Not saying that it necessarily should, but it annoys me that I'm going to miss out on this now.

Exactly. Only hope that many of those extra tickets bought by season ticket holders are for mates that go to aways normally, so that the rush of remaining people isn't now that great as most are sorted already one way or another. Still a joke of a system.

I am sure no one knows this but how restricted will it be? worth it or not?! hmm
Always worth it. They're never too bad, plus its a big old stand, can move around quite a bit.

so the 500 restricted view (which i can't imagine are that restricted) are the last of the 5817? or an addition to that? the article seems to claim benefit for securing an "additional 500" as if that hadn't been included in the original ticket allocation.

still seems to be a ridiculous waste to leave empty blocks in the stand for this game as a sterile area, a few rows with netting like all other clubs use would be enough surely.

Good point. Suggests we may actually have 6,300

If the worst comes to the worst will go sit with the home fans. Any suggestions on the best place for doing that?

go in the whitehorse road stand behind the goal close to the away fans, would be best bet i reckon. their "ultras" go in the holmesdale road stand at the other end so better not to be at that end celebrating our promotion.

Would imagine home sales will be database-only. Not even convinced I'd be able to get tickets there with a Croydon home postcode and no previous sales history.
