alehouseboys Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 why are they faffing around with an extra 1000 , just get the full lot on sale!! I'd imagine they're now having to pay up front for the extra tickets and so are gonna just sell each batch before asking for more rather than ending up out of pocket. This of course aint gonna happen as in a weeks time when they're all gone they'll be countless on here saying how sh*te it is as they've missed out. If it gets to a general sale it could get frantic - they'll be a lot of lads that usually play local football over a weekend that will be looking to get up for this one.
rick1976.4.38 Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 when i phoned just b4 five today, the girl in the ticket office said all sold of the first allocation and getting 3000 tomorrow afternoon.fingers crossed some of those may get to general sale
Saint Garrett Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 (edited) Says on the OS that they've sold 3000 but have asked for another 1000. I guess they're just selling them in bits to make sure they sell out. Ah like alehouseboys just said!! Edited 23 March, 2012 by Saint Garrett didnt read posts.

Makes sense to do it that way and there's plenty of time to flog them, not like that's going to be an issue though after we shifted over 3,000 in 2 days on restricted sale.
maxi_sopez Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 Ok experts give us your opinion... Will they get to general sale?
This Charming Man Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 Ok experts give us your opinion... Will they get to general sale? If they do, there won't be many.
miss_biscuits Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 Tickets on sale now online, just bought my 2
Sour Mash Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 Ok experts give us your opinion... Will they get to general sale? Yes they will. Most people going have got caught up in the hype and rushed to get their tickets already. Sales will slow down a fair bit now. Even if they don't make general sale, expect a fair few spares to be offered for sale on here.
cdvdtz Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 I know that, but out of all the other teams who are allowed there, I'd say it's still pretty good.
Appy Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 Got mine sorted, hopefully it's not just a family day out and we actually make a racket.
CFSFC Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 Well I only just got my 7 today and im one of the usual lads that rush to purchase.
This Charming Man Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 Got mine sorted, hopefully it's not just a family day out and we actually make a racket. We should do. Decent end for making a load of noise and most people should be nicely p*ssed up come kick off.
Saint Garrett Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 We should do. Decent end for making a load of noise and most people should be nicely p*ssed up come kick off.Think we've been given the whole of one side
Sour Mash Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 (edited) Think we've been given the whole of one side For what it's worth, I think he meant "end" as in the general term for an "away end", as opposed to an actual end of the ground. If we're being pedantic, we haven't got the whole side stand, few blocks left for segregation. Edited 23 March, 2012 by Sour Mash
This Charming Man Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 Think we've been given the whole of one side There's always one...
Appy Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 Looking on their forum, if the demand allows it some of the blocks in the "sterile" areas can be given to us.

So we could potentially be given 8,000 but that would require extra money spent on rozzers. If we easily sell out the 6,000 then Cortese needs to step up to the mark and make the 8,000 happen.

This Charming Man Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 He's the chairman, I believe. Brilliant. I like the way he mugs off most of their fans in his posts as well.
Matthew Le God Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 Imagine Cortese openly posting on here I already do...
dune Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 Chairmen posting on forums always ends in tears. Just look at Wilde and Lowe.
Sour Mash Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 Bit up in the air then as to whether we'd get more tickets.
stevegrant Posted 23 March, 2012 Author Posted 23 March, 2012 Chairmen posting on forums always ends in tears. Just look at Wilde and Lowe. To be fair, as far as I'm aware, he'd been posting on various fan forums for years before he headed up the consortium that bought the club out of administration a couple of years ago. As long as he doesn't go acting the prat or changing into full PR-spiel mode, I don't really see a problem with it. Reading that thread, he doesn't appear to be the sort who panders to other fans, he seems quite level-headed and objective - hence them giving us 6k tickets because they know they won't sell anywhere near enough.
Saints Warrior Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 Got my ticket and the pile looked small, I would say about 100 left. Should sell another 1000 no problem
saintmatt Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 http://www.cpfc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=231857 Some good (and accurate) points about large away followings bringing an average atmosphere on there, optimum's usually 2.5-3k imo
aqbadger Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 Whats the latest on these - anyone know if they've sold out yet?
Saint Garrett Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 I assume there's only 4100 on sale at the moment or is the full wack on sale yet ?
Nexstar Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 From what I can work out we're currently selling the batch between 4,100 and 5,000. Which at a guess would mean there is likely to be the final batch of 800 available for general sale.
CFSFC Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 Reckon well sell 5800 easily. Be nice to take more than that. Guarantee promotion in front of a mental end. Seeing as drawing there in 2005 pretty much relegated us
oldsarum Posted 27 March, 2012 Posted 27 March, 2012 Over 5,100 already sold Only 650 tickets left to go on general sale tomorrow 500 of which are cheaper but restricted view http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2696882,00.html

Tokyo-Saint Posted 27 March, 2012 Posted 27 March, 2012 There is going to be a scramble for these then. I have said it before but I'll say it again, it is such a bullsh)t system where a season ticket holder can buy 16 tickets for him and his mates while the others get left with the scraps. Season ticket holder - fine, season ticket holder plus mate -mmmm, season ticket holder + anyone they know - F^ck right off.

Season ticket holder - fine, season ticket holder plus mate -mmmm, season ticket holder + anyone they know - F^ck right off. Absolutely this. I've been to pretty much every northern away game and it accounts for **** all. Not saying that it necessarily should, but it annoys me that I'm going to miss out on this now.

Only hope that many of those extra tickets bought by season ticket holders are for mates that go to aways normally, so that the rush of remaining people isn't now that great as most are sorted already one way or another. Still a joke of a system.
maxi_sopez Posted 27 March, 2012 Posted 27 March, 2012 I am sure no one knows this but how restricted will it be? worth it or not?! hmm
Sour Mash Posted 27 March, 2012 Posted 27 March, 2012 I am sure no one knows this but how restricted will it be? worth it or not?! hmm Always worth it. They're never too bad, plus its a big old stand, can move around quite a bit.
brmbrm Posted 27 March, 2012 Posted 27 March, 2012 If the worst comes to the worst will go sit with the home fans. Any suggestions on the best place for doing that?
JRM Posted 27 March, 2012 Posted 27 March, 2012 so the 500 restricted view (which i can't imagine are that restricted) are the last of the 5817? or an addition to that? the article seems to claim benefit for securing an "additional 500" as if that hadn't been included in the original ticket allocation. still seems to be a ridiculous waste to leave empty blocks in the stand for this game as a sterile area, a few rows with netting like all other clubs use would be enough surely.

Good point. Suggests we may actually have 6,300
JRM Posted 27 March, 2012 Posted 27 March, 2012 If the worst comes to the worst will go sit with the home fans. Any suggestions on the best place for doing that? go in the whitehorse road stand behind the goal close to the away fans, would be best bet i reckon. their "ultras" go in the holmesdale road stand at the other end so better not to be at that end celebrating our promotion.
stevegrant Posted 27 March, 2012 Author Posted 27 March, 2012 Would imagine home sales will be database-only. Not even convinced I'd be able to get tickets there with a Croydon home postcode and no previous sales history.
Um Bongo Posted 27 March, 2012 Posted 27 March, 2012 I'm told the extra tickets are on top of our original allocation, so we should be taking over 6,000.
SuperMikey Posted 27 March, 2012 Posted 27 March, 2012 Getting my tickets tomorrow, can't wait! Don't give a f*ck if it's restricted view or not.
