JRM Posted 15 March, 2012 Posted 15 March, 2012 The wheels are already in motion mate, fair few choices to be fair. Don't think i fancy going back to that west indian pub near Norwood Junction which was clearly a front for other business going on out the back, and the bird who looked like she was on crack and thought she recognised me. Quite like some of the pubs at clapham tucked away.
Orange Posted 15 March, 2012 Posted 15 March, 2012 This will be the annual trip for many idiots. But on a good note, that low roof and 6,000 saints, could be class.
rick1976.4.38 Posted 15 March, 2012 Posted 15 March, 2012 goona be full of families as its easter monday.still over 5000 of us,should be a crackin day out as only up the road for a few of us,coys

They'd all be too traumatised to leave after marauding groups of thugs singing 'Yellows' leaves them in tears.
alehouseboys Posted 15 March, 2012 Posted 15 March, 2012 If we don't take 6K it will be a disgrace. Too right it'll be...the b'stards have only given us 5,800 tickets. Btw it wouldn't be a disgrace, in fact that's still a pretty decent following (although we were taking 10,000+ away at the later stages of the '78 promotion ), I also think we'll sell them with little problem.

stardustonmyfeet Posted 15 March, 2012 Posted 15 March, 2012 I'll probably be in with the home fans. Any particular reason why? A former colleague of mine supports Palace, and I can't be bothered to hang out with him if Saints aren't playing. Plus Selhurst Park is about halfway between us so it should work out ok. However, either of us could be working on Easter Monday so it makes sense to just decide whether to go on the morning, by which point it would be surely far easier to get tickets with the home supporters (and maybe a few quiet Saints) who probably won't have sold out their end... sounds like a plan to me anyway?!
Saint Garrett Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 Whats the chances of us going up at Palace ?
Nadia Sllim Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 Great day, Benali goal line clearance worth of cult status alone. Wendy Toms lineswoman as well! Love the Le Tiss look, more or less saying you should have started me and this would have been over 40 minutes earlier!
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 did not need a ticket in 78' date=' just get there before the Home FANS[/quote'] Now they were the good old days, and you didn't lose beer time by being early, they sold beer and you could take it on the terrace!
saintmatt Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 just got back from ticket office, 2,500 sold already (probably 3k by now)
This Charming Man Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 just got back from ticket office, 2,500 sold already (probably 3k by now) Wind up?
Nexstar Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 just got back from ticket office, 2,500 sold already (probably 3k by now) 10 tickets a minute for 5 hours solid? I don't think so.
View From The Top Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 Just bought mine online so I wouldn't be shocked if we are banging them out. My Doris thinks we are off to do family stuff that day. Better tell that she still can as I'm off to Palace with the nipper
stevegrant Posted 21 March, 2012 Author Posted 21 March, 2012 im hearing we sold 4k already Why do you bother constantly spouting such absolute ********? The OS article said we had an initial allocation of just over 3,000, which could rise to 5,817. It's fair to assume that we won't have all of those tickets available immediately, we'd have to request the extra batch from Palace.
Hemel Saint Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 im hearing we sold 4k already Is this true?!? I wish people, when they make such statements would back it up and say where (who) the info came from!!! Then they will have a little bit of credibility!
southamptonfclegend Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 yeah surely they would have published on the website that the initial allocation was sold...
RedWillie Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 Yes £4 k worth....... im hearing we sold 4k already
HedgeEnder Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 Someone has just texted me after getting thier tickets just now and were told 2.5k already sold and waiting to hear if we are getting the full allocation

JRM Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 anyone else had numbers sold confirmed by ticket office? i've not sorted this one out yet, wasn't rushing due to 5817 allocation, but guess better get it sorted, where were all these people at Millwall?
saintmatt Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 Wind up? No, that's what I was told. Let's not forget we sold our Brighton allocation in about 2 hours!
saintmatt Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 Someone has just texted me after getting thier tickets just now and were told 2.5k already sold and waiting to hear if we are getting the full allocation I can vouch for this, was told exactly the same

Probably the prospect of a sunny Bank Holiday in London for Palace was a bit more appealing than the match v Millwall (not saying that's correct, just a suggestion). It's a pity Leyton Orient couldn't have followed us up last season for another great day out in the sun (I was burnt last year), but I suppose Palace will do!
LGTL Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 If they started selling from one of the end blocks, my tickets I just got would suggest we have sold out 3 blocks already. Think we'll sell out all 6k for this. They also appear to not be worrying with STH numbers, the guy wasn't interested in me giving them to him at the ticket office.
stedje Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 Coming down from Norway with my missus for this match and certaintly left among the home fans. What do I do when we score?
saintscottofthenortham Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 Got ours today. Will be a cracker!

Genk Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 Does anyone know if it is strictly one per STH at the moment?
Dan Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 Got mine already but hoping to get another 12 on general sale.

Who picks going to a game on the basis that it might be "sunny"? it's great that we're taking loads to this one, would be good if some of this enthusiasm to attend away games was spread across some of the less easy, obvious away trips.

Our support numbers wise is the best it's ever been.
Torrent Of Abuse Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 You know, if we get enough Brighton and Bournemouth fans along, we might just sell that many tickets. Oh... hold on. Sorry. Thought I was still logged onto PompeyFans.com.
Sour Mash Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 Our support numbers wise is the best it's ever been. Comes from winning games. Simple as that. Just a pity that demand is so vastly split between the easy aways and the tougher ones.
Whitey Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 Does anyone know if it is strictly one per STH at the moment? I don't think so. I bought 3 tickets today but they were only bothered about seeing my ST... Didn't need the others.
John Boy Saint Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 Shame the bestest fans point scoring has reared it's ugly head again, I would love to go to every game in a season but I have a life beyond Saints and will pick easier trips because I am lazy, plus driving 1000+ miles a week also blunts your desire to drive 400 miles on a Saturday. Anyway my mate acquired 6 tickets first thing this morning for a relatively simple trip to Crystal Palace, best make sure I have the kitchen rebuilt by then!!
dune Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 Comes from winning games. Simple as that. Just a pity that demand is so vastly split between the easy aways and the tougher ones. We are a family club. It's hardly a shock that families can't afford (both in monetary and time terms) the longer distance games, and avoid places like Millwall. Given the hard times (thanks in no small part to Labour borrowing to the hilt and causing the inevitable squeeze on disposable incomes) I think our away support in terms of numbers is amazing, and like I've said it is the best it's ever been.
IFHP Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 If they started selling from one of the end blocks, my tickets I just got would suggest we have sold out 3 blocks already. Think we'll sell out all 6k for this. They also appear to not be worrying with STH numbers, the guy wasn't interested in me giving them to him at the ticket office. The two end blocks are left empty, check the Palace website it states what blocks we have. Also Palace fans have been moaning all season about the amout of seats / blocks that are closed when the away teams bring large numbers.
HedgeEnder Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 Does anyone know if it is strictly one per STH at the moment? No. Bought 5 online earlier just on my ST
ericb Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 I'll be really ****ed if i miss this one, reckon i'll have notched up between 14-16 aways this season by the end of it but i'm waiting on being paid. The club should definitely have done this as season ticket/most aways first to thank those of us that have put in the miles this season. The combination of an easy away and the sniff of success may see some miss out though which is a real mistake in my opinion

The combination of an easy away and the sniff of success may see some miss out though which is a real mistake in my opinion A sniff of success ? They are on sale to season ticket holders first. Most of the current season ticket holders were season ticket holders back in the dark days from 2005 though to summer 2009. I dont think you can classify any season ticket holder of this club as glory hunters. I take your point about being made available to regular away travellers first but with an allocation of nearly 6000 expected this is hardly the ballot for Bournemouth from last season.....and am I not correct in thinking the tickets for Fratton Park didnt exaclty fly out of the ticket office ? Anyone who wants to go to Palace should be able to go....even of they aren't in the Saints end.

CFSFC Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 Yes, the club should definitely change their policy on away matches because you haven't been paid yet. For once I agree with your point.

Why would the club put in all that hassle when we have 6,000 tickets?!
