Lee Holmes gone to Swindon

He can see Swindon will get promoted this season, whereas Oxford are only vying for a playoff place. Can't blame him, I suppose.

Swindon are pretty much promoted already tho so they have no need for him at all. Also their best player is their left winger Rooney so he won't be starting for them. Maybe they have just loaned him for the JPT final as Rooney is cup tied for that.

He mullered them in Carling Cup game for Saints and for Oxford (setting up both goals) and could see him going there permanently next year when they are in League 1. BTW - live 8 miles from Swindon now, don't jump on the

comedians bandwagon and just deride the place.

Why not, Swindon is a ****-hole, surrounded by Wiltshire which is God's Own Country. Oxford is an even bigger ****-hole than Swindon though.

In fairness, to anyone that doesn't live somewhere, everywhere's a sh1thole, bar perhaps South Kensington (and of course, Reading).

No Ritchie has been their best player this season and he plays on the right. Di Canio has brought in and discarded quite a few players so far this season so won't be afraid to stick Holmes in and keep him there if he impresses.

Interesting to see that we seem to be making sides pay for loans from us.

I think any club will only pay most of the wages of a player who is loaned to another club if it is a youngster who they are shipping out to gain experience but view as a future first team players. For situations like Holmes where the player is blatently surplus to requirments and it is a loan with a view to a permanent move then it would be expected that the club he is being loaned to would pick up the wages.
