Bad Wolf Posted 13 March, 2012 Posted 13 March, 2012 I have a chair in my back garden from the Dell. Not sure what stand etc...Anyone know if it's worth anything?
Gemmel Posted 13 March, 2012 Posted 13 March, 2012 Not really mate, a lot of fans took them and then the rest were auctioned off
Saint Garrett Posted 13 March, 2012 Posted 13 March, 2012 Probably only sentimental value. We have ours in our garage and the dell turf still has it's own patch in the garden....despite it being pretty much dead for the last 10 years haha
Bad Wolf Posted 13 March, 2012 Author Posted 13 March, 2012 Ahhh well I thought as much. Thought I'd better check it out though. Cheers for the quick replies, guys.
kpturner Posted 13 March, 2012 Posted 13 March, 2012 I have a chair in my back garden from the Dell. Not sure what stand etc...Anyone know if it's worth anything?Do you need a loan?
Golden Balls Posted 13 March, 2012 Posted 13 March, 2012 I've got one of the wooden ones from the upper west. I have no intention to sell it but could be worth anything?
kpturner Posted 13 March, 2012 Posted 13 March, 2012 I've got one of the wooden ones from the upper west. I have no intention to sell it but could be worth anything?Only if chopped up and used for firewood.
Golden Balls Posted 13 March, 2012 Posted 13 March, 2012 Only if chopped up and used for firewood. So yes, something then. Like I said, no intention to sell. Although it's bloody uncomfortable
jasonb Posted 13 March, 2012 Posted 13 March, 2012 I've always wanted the "welcome to the Dell" or was it "you are now entering the Dell" sign that hung in the players "tunnel". I wonder what became of that?
Whitey Grandad Posted 13 March, 2012 Posted 13 March, 2012 You're lucky. All that's left of mine is the seat number.
Redondo Saint Posted 13 March, 2012 Posted 13 March, 2012 I have a chair in my back garden from the Dell. Not sure what stand etc...Anyone know if it's worth anything? Nothing, SFC have moved to a new stadium.
SNSUN Posted 13 March, 2012 Posted 13 March, 2012 Anything like this is only worth what other Saints fans view as sentimental value. Stick it on eBay, people will buy anything on there, but if I owned a chair from the Dell, I'd keep it as my little slice of Saints history - unless it cluttered up the place, then I'd use it to batter TCWTB over the head.
Golden Balls Posted 13 March, 2012 Posted 13 March, 2012 I always wanted the sign that said 'Refreshments' at the back of the lower west at the Archers end. I sat under that sign for 9 years. I got on the pitch at the end to celebrate, then went back to get the sign and it was gone.
stanthemanfairoak Posted 13 March, 2012 Posted 13 March, 2012 I've got one of the wooden ones from the upper west. I have no intention to sell it but could be worth anything?saw one on ebay last year made £47.

I wonder what became of that? Hi, as far as I remember numerous pieces like this were removed and auctioned off for charity or kept by the club. That sign was definitely one. I also have a chair and will never part with it, part of football history.
Jonnyboy Posted 13 March, 2012 Posted 13 March, 2012 I have a chair in my back garden from the Dell. Not sure what stand etc...Anyone know if it's worth anything? I'll buy it off you
bender Posted 15 March, 2012 Posted 15 March, 2012 I went to the Brighton game fully expecting to rip off seats but the chap next to me had kindly bought a comprehensively assembled toolkit. Mines in the loft.

That sign was definitely one. I also have a chair and will never part with it, part of football history. I imagine the club would have taken stuff to auction that were left over after the fans had torn the place apart. The sign I sat under was definately gone within 15 minutes of the final whistle. Maybe the one you saw was from one of the other refreshment bars. Still would have liked that but not as sentimental as the actual sign I sat under for so long.
ecuk268 Posted 15 March, 2012 Posted 15 March, 2012 Still got my seat and the turf grew well in the lawn. Also got a telly from the Executive Club and a filing cabinet from one of the offices.
krissyboy31 Posted 15 March, 2012 Posted 15 March, 2012 Got mine, gathering dust in the shed but wouldn't get rid for anything!

oldskoolsi Posted 16 March, 2012 Posted 16 March, 2012 I always wanted the rusty metal girder on the east stand that said mind your head.
