trousers Posted 13 March, 2012 Share Posted 13 March, 2012 @officialsaints: GOAL! SAM HOSKINS scores with a great effort from 25 yards that nestles in the bottom corner. Saints U21s 1-0 Palace #saintsfc

Minty Posted 13 March, 2012 Share Posted 13 March, 2012 GOAL! Great run and pass by Falque as he feeds LLOYD ISGROVE who slips the ball past the Palace keeper and into the bottom corner. #saintsfc If there wasn't so much at stake, I'd like to see more of Falque in the first team squad but who would he replace? Mind you, given how the likes of Chaplow haven't made the last 2 squads, who knows?

Minty Posted 13 March, 2012 Share Posted 13 March, 2012 Ooh, seems he's not doing his chances any harm: GOAL! YAGO FALQUE gets Saints' third after receiving the ball from Barnard, cutting inside & beating the keeper at his near post. #saintsfc

Minty Posted 13 March, 2012 Share Posted 13 March, 2012 Bit of a rout it would seem... GOAL! Sam Hoskins beats his man down the right and crosses into the six yard box where LEE BARNARD finishes to make it 4-0 #saintsfc

Minty Posted 13 March, 2012 Share Posted 13 March, 2012 And now 6! Substitution for Saints: Dan Seaborne gets 70 minutes on his return from injury and is replaced by Jordan Turnbull #saintsfc GOAL! LEE BARNARD gets his second and Saints' fifth as he scores from 6 yards after the Palace keeper saved his initial effort. #saintsfc GOAL! Lee Barnard plays in CALUM CHAMBERS who cooly slots past the Palace keeper from 18 yards to make it Saints U21s 6-0 Palace. #saintsfc
trousers Posted 13 March, 2012 Share Posted 13 March, 2012 This twitter exchange made me chuckle.... Crystal Palace FC @Official_CPFC More bad news from our roving reporter - Saints go 4-0 up through Lee Barnard. Not a good day at the office by the sound of it. Ed Malyon @eaamalyon @Official_CPFC Lee Barnard £1m+ striker, Iago Falque has just signed for Spurs from Juventus! I wouldn't be too worried. Minty Posted 13 March, 2012 Share Posted 13 March, 2012 Good day in OUR office... Full Time: Saints U21s 6-0 Crystal Palace. Great display from Martin Hunter's side as they smash six past Palace. #saintsfc

david in sweden Posted 13 March, 2012 Share Posted 13 March, 2012 they all want an outing.... and don't care what level it is. Any striker is happy ot score in a 6 a side, it won't do Barnard's confidence any harm either, and nice to see that we haven't forgotten Falque. Pedro Posted 13 March, 2012 Share Posted 13 March, 2012 A reserve/second team need more regular games, if we go up is there a premiership reserve league still? Seems a mockery to the team today Under 21's but good to see some of them get a run out.
Huffton Posted 13 March, 2012 Share Posted 13 March, 2012 Seabourne won't be here much longer IMO, a league 1 player at best.
Lighthouse Posted 13 March, 2012 Share Posted 13 March, 2012 Nice to see Falque and Barnard giving Adkins food for thought ahead of Saturday. Good that Jaidi and Seaborne got some good game time too, although I can't see either of them playing for Saints this season.
Avenue Saint Posted 13 March, 2012 Share Posted 13 March, 2012 This falque could be something I reckon... The way he holds the ball reminded me of an early schneiderlin and look where he is now after sufficient English game time.

buctootim Posted 13 March, 2012 Share Posted 13 March, 2012 Falque is only 2 months younger than Schneiderlin. Thats the way it mostly is on t'continent though - young players break into the first team much later. Morgan has said so himself thats one of the reasons for him coming to England. . Avenue Saint Posted 13 March, 2012 Share Posted 13 March, 2012 Falque is only 2 months younger than Schneiderlin. Yes I know that but what I was referring to was experience of English football. I.e. when Morgan first came over...
sammysaint Posted 13 March, 2012 Share Posted 13 March, 2012 Falque and Banard IMO should be bench for millwall away, both good players and that Falque well i thought on his debut he looked decent played simple passes moved the ball along nice always making runs. Saint Charlie Posted 13 March, 2012 Share Posted 13 March, 2012 Barnard below Lambert, Lee, Sharp, Guly and Connolly for me and therefore won't be on the bench at Millwall, and quite possibly has played his last minutes for Saints this season and maybe for good? Sounds dramatic but possibly true?
