FT 1-1.

Knew they couldn't keep winning, week in, week out.

Wasted chance for Reading, you'd have to say - based on the chances they have.

Very very good night for us. Most definitely a 3 horse race now - no one else is involved in the autos.

Top evening.....

West Ham drop out of top 2

Reading 2 points behind Saints (and GD 14 less) with no more games in hand

Birmingham lost

Cardiff lost

I love you Carslberg!!

Looking at the table, it really is a 3-horse race now, maybe our nose in front. Middlesbrough still have a very faint outside chance.

Going to be a sickener for the team that misses out. If we hadnt lost twice to Bristol City this would be as near as dammit to being over.

What's maybe got to do with it? Of course we have our noses in front.

We have the best GD, the most points and everything is in our hands. We have to play Reading, and this was one of Readings easier remaining away games - and they didn't win.

If Reading manage to get a result against us, the whole landscape changes.

'If' !

At the moment that game is a long, long way away and as it stands at the moment our noses are well and truly in front.

If we had more points we would be further ahead. If we had fewer we would be down the table.

Rochdale did the double over us last season.

Rochdale were a useful team last season. Bristol City are useless c*nts followed by mongs.

Don't forget Reading also have to go to Upton Park which is a bonus whatever way you look at it

Always easier to chase than actually break through and reach a target - hence the amazing feat for a newly promoted club sitting at the top to be shot at for so long.

Indeed. Would be almost a criminal act for us to be mugged in the last few games of the season.

Maybe at some point you could also try praising the team for being top with ten games to go. Just a thought eh? Would it really pain you that much or does putting a negative slant on everything arouse you that much?

Good set of results for us, and West Ham have Leeds away at the weekend too.

Leeds could be our best friends over the next few weeks, they play both Wham and Reading and if they play like they did against us I can see them taking points off both. Still not sure how we won up there but it felt like a real turning point.

Leeds are my dark horses for promotion - if they could squeak into the playoffs I think they would win it.

Who'd have thought it, everyone at Saints wishing moany Warnock the best of luck.

Well done, Donny! Presume S Gillett did his bit tonight for Saints. Very pleased with this week's results, so far.:)

i knew reading would drop points...

A. they simply cannot win every game

b. they were getting a lot of attention for it

c. one of their players (karacan i think) was giving it the big one in the paper saying that reading have not hit top form yet

now they have a tricky game away to barnsley at the weekend

whilst the hammers have what is not going to be a very hard game at leeds

This was their easiest (on paper) remaining away game, and they cocked it up - you have to say.

They still have to go to WHU, P'boro, Brighton, Us, and Birmingham on the last day.

As long as we keep ticking along as we have been, and ensure that we get something against them in the big game - we'll be fine. The fact that WHU and Reading play eachother is such a huge bonus for us.

It's definitely looking like one from three, although it's a bit early to say as the picture can change very quickly.

We're 12 points ahead of the 7th placed team now, even if we mess on auto we have a good chance of another trip to Wemberleee.

In fact, Readings next 7 games look horrendous on paper...

Barnsley away, P'Boro away, Blackpool home, WHU away, Leeds home, Brighton away, Southampton away.

They will drop plenty of points there.

It would be nice to think we can go on a good winning streak and let West Ham and Reading scrap it out for 2nd but sadly I think this one will go down to the wire. Hopefully last season's promotion run will give us a good mental advantage

lol @ reading fan's reaction

''Disgraceful result''

''disgusting result''

''embarrasing''

Mongs.

Just like some of our wrist slitters on here after dropping points.

Posted
Nah....we don't have any of those....:scared:

Although, TBF to them, IF we hadn't dropped all those points in DEC/JAN we'd have been around 8,976 points clear at the Top by now

And we would have swapped wrist slitting for complacency
