They just mentioned the tweet on the radio...saying he was spot on

Apparently many there last night were gobsmacked when they found out Pompey had 2 tables

About half of the NPC clubs did not have any..!!!

Which radio station? Mr. Durham on TalkSport I assume?

Why would they?

Isn't it the 'normal procedure' that this sort of thing is attended by the nominees etc?

The 'problems' seem to have been caused by the damn fool ridiculous nomination of Cheats FC for any sort of award (let alone a 'community' based one) and then compounded by our super-douper, down-with-the-kids, social media spokesperson who seems to have over-blurred the boundaries between the personal and the proffessional.

Two wrongs don't usually make a right and in this case maybe we all just better move on?

Lord knows there's enough carp we fans can legitimately throw at them (and we do every day, that's cos we're fans and it's banter) without the 'official' club's spokesperson getting down in the gutter with them; I should imagine Mr Twibley had rather a red face this morning.

@pn_neil_allen: RT @officialpompey: Just been told that #Pompey were criticised on @talkSPORT for buying two tables at last night's Football League Awards...

@pn_neil_allen: RT @officialpompey: Tables were both paid for by club partners, so #Pompey didn't spend a penny. @talkSPORT didn't check this with us first

What the hell does 'paid for by club partners' mean? If it means a sponsor, then that money could have been used for something else anyway in the club.

Quite right. 800-1000 pounds for a table, all the food and drink involved. That would be wages for two office clerks this month. What a bunch of shameless f@@ks.

Can you imagine the furure there would have been if it had been uncle Rupert's tea boy that'd made these comments? You would have thought Sibley would've learnt his lesson after his comments about the Daily Echo.
