SaintsAhoy Posted 11 March, 2012 Posted 11 March, 2012 For me it would have to be the moment he signed

shurlock Posted 11 March, 2012 Posted 11 March, 2012 His goals at Portman Road - he looked really made up.
S-Clarke Posted 11 March, 2012 Posted 11 March, 2012 His goals at Portman Road - he looked really made up. This.
ThreeSixty Posted 11 March, 2012 Posted 11 March, 2012 Goal against the skates in the FA Cup for that brief moment.
St.JonB Posted 12 March, 2012 Posted 12 March, 2012 He has been brilliant for us. If he had a bit more pace he would play for England. Like the great MLT, even when he is having a quiet game he can still win it for us with a special moment.
krissyboy31 Posted 12 March, 2012 Posted 12 March, 2012 2 goals already against the Skates. Hopefully in the next match he will significantly add to that tally in a winning cause.
Raging Bull Posted 12 March, 2012 Posted 12 March, 2012 Stepping up for the pen @ Plymouth knowing he was about to send us up.
Rod Le Shearer Posted 12 March, 2012 Posted 12 March, 2012 Congrats to Rickie. Fully deserved, the best player in the Championship by miles !
MINIBARCELONASAINT Posted 12 March, 2012 Posted 12 March, 2012 A few home games back, just into the opposition half (Northam end), Itchen side, a ball came down from well up and Rickie trapped it superbly with an outstretched leg. I was absolutely amazed and then I saw his face: he was absolutely amazed. He's just so likable.
Secret Site Agent Posted 12 March, 2012 Posted 12 March, 2012 Well done Rickie, well deserved and to such a humble man as well, especially for a Scouser which is some feat:lol:. It's his ability to produce a goal from nothing, and also his passing and support of goals that make him outstanding. I think he found his home here, which allows him to get intot he top flight.
St.Thomas7 Posted 12 March, 2012 Posted 12 March, 2012 For me its that 40 yarder away at MK Dons(?). Was up for goal of the year if I remember rightly... must be on youtube somewhere...

dronskisaint Posted 12 March, 2012 Posted 12 March, 2012 His goals at Portman Road - he looked really made up. So many to choose from but yes - this. His point was proved and he's not looked back.

Bearsy Posted 12 March, 2012 Posted 12 March, 2012 http://www.skysports.com/video/inline/0,,16527_7588862,00.html Loool love the contrast between Zaha: "I'm gonna move to a better club in the summer" and Ricky: "I don't want to play for any other club". Sucks to be palace!
jamesb Posted 12 March, 2012 Posted 12 March, 2012 Congratulations Rickie. So deserved! Heres to the next one and many more great moments to come!
niceandfriendly Posted 12 March, 2012 Posted 12 March, 2012 Personal favourite moment would be vs Skates at home. So so many fond memories. Thank you SRL.
dronskisaint Posted 12 March, 2012 Posted 12 March, 2012 Loool love the contrast between Zaha: "I'm gonna move to a better club in the summer" and Ricky: "I don't want to play for any other club". Sucks to be palace! Lump in the throat moment...'I love it at Southampton...no other club I want to be in the Premier League with' the guy's a legend
Saint J 77 Posted 12 March, 2012 Posted 12 March, 2012 For me its was his hat-trick against Forest. I knew that was going to be a tough match and I have family who are Forest fans. They have been a bogey team for us in the past so when he got his and the teams 3rd goal that day I knew it was going to be a good year for him and the team
dellgirl Posted 12 March, 2012 Posted 12 March, 2012 We are very proud to have you Rickie, thank you and I hope your dream comes true along with ours.
Upton72 Posted 12 March, 2012 Posted 12 March, 2012 Its an award given by the managers and, with the odd exception, there can't be more unbiased judges of opposing players. In that respect alone Rickie is obviously highly regarded by people who matter. I think he's had a tremendous season, giving all-round quality to the team; just hope the award isn't the "kiss of death" in the way MoM is! (wouldn't mind the "kiss of death" for Gus though.)
doddisalegend Posted 12 March, 2012 Posted 12 March, 2012 Best Rickie moment has to be that goal at MK Dons I was lucky enough to be there that day amazing goal and Rickies first every saints hatrick too. That sky sports video is great to It's really nice to have players who want to be at the club.
Leicestersaint Posted 13 March, 2012 Posted 13 March, 2012 Many congratulations Rickie lambert - you are already one of Southampton's great scorers with much more to come. A much deserved award.
Gemmel Posted 13 March, 2012 Posted 13 March, 2012 http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/9586642._Rickie_always_had_a_special_talent_/ Didnt want to start a new thread, but the obligatory old school teacher interview, which is worth a read. Liverpool Tattoo on his shoulder! Teacher is Liverpool fan and would rather have Lambert than Caroll :)
davefizzy14 Posted 14 March, 2012 Posted 14 March, 2012 Congratulations Rickie, My favourite player. Well deserved. This is the first of many many to come.

KDSFC Posted 16 March, 2012 Posted 16 March, 2012 The best is yet to come, Rickie is going to sink the skates next month.
Lighthouse Posted 16 March, 2012 Posted 16 March, 2012 55,000 fans cheering his penalty at Wembley Both goals (so far) against the Skates MK Dons Can't choose between the four really. The Skates cup game was the only one I missed (lucky me) but I think I went the most mental at Fratton Park.
