i see that our 1976 win over manu plays a big part in the advert for the fa cup currently being shown.

its about fvcking time our great giant killing win has been recognized and given the air time it deserves.

usually every other giant killing game is shown except ours.

I think that now we are seen as a 'Championship team' rather than a recently relegated Prem team, it is seen as more of a 'giant killing' than it might have been in the last few years.

I remember in the opening credits to the 2006 Cup final, they had a clip of our goal against Utd and the commentary of, "and Southampton go mad" in the background. Think that might have been something to do with the 30 year anniversary though, or possibly because it was shortly after Ossy passed away.

Quality! I'm 'meeting' the FA Cup today at a private event in NYC. Hope they play the same commercials etc. I've been told they will be a nostalgic look at games etc possibly featuring underdogs.
