Surely 'sure' should be spelt 'shor' - shorly?

Ahhh Millwall. Used to think of them only as "that unsympathetic club with psycho fans". Now I rather think of them as "that club that are actually respecting economical restraints and living within their means". As opposed to other clubs not mentioned here...

Really looking forward to this one now. We owe them a beating after our poor performance in the cup replay. Nice easy train journey up from Chi for a day on the beers in London.

I have a feeling Billy Sharp will grab a goal or two too. COYR!

Anyone have a clue how many we've sold so far?

We've sold out the intial allocation of just over 2,000 and recieved another 1,000 for the lower tier which are selling fast so I'm told. I know a number of lads that have got tickets in the lower tier.

Get a shift on or by the end of the week you'll here all those complaining they missed out like Orient last year. And if the weather's like this next weekend it's gonna be another cracking day out drinking in the sunshine again!

Millwall away always proves a tough one for us, but their home form is awful and this is a game we should be winning if we want to win the league, especially with tougher away games to come in the coming weeks.

Millwall's home form since their last win at the Den (against the skates on Boxing Day):

Crystal Palace - L 0-1

Birmingham City - L 0-6

Watford - L 0-2

Derby County - D 0-0

Middlesbrough - L 1-3

Reading - L 1-2.

5 defeats in 6 games.

My brother is also a Milwall fan, so needless to say a win is imperative for personal reasons too! Reckon it will be tough, and a battle but we'll win 2-1.

why on hell would you drop connolly from the bench..?

Because he isn't very good. 2 goals since August and he only ever scores in games when we're playing brilliantly and cruising anyway. If we are struggling on Saturday and need to change the game, DC isn't the man to do that.

But Lee Barnard is?

Barnard was one of our most important players before he got injured last season. Hard working, always putting pressure on defenders and a decent finisher. He has popped up and scored some very important goals when we were struggling and needed them most. Wednesday way last season, Adkins first win and our first goal for about a month. The winner in the 3-2 MK Dons game. Both goals at Carrow Road under Pardew when Norwich went up as Champions. An injury time equaliser at Brighton and a last minute winner at Yeovil.

He hasn't been fit this season, but I'd at least give him a shot off the bench if the alternative is Connolly.

Barnard in his current condition....no chance whatsoever.

We should try loaning Barnard out to Bristol City or Barnsley for the rest of the season, you never know he might make a telling contribution against Wet Sham (although perhaps on balance as he is reportedly a Hammers fan maybe not). Unlikely he will ever get a look in at Saints again. Shame really is a decent League One or mid-table Championship striker.

Am I right in saying that the lower and upper tiers share the same concourse/entrance? Think I'll jib in the lower tier if that's the case.
Yep, same concourse. Easy enough jib I'd have thought. Going to be a nightmare getting a beer at half time mind.

weve still got 900 tickets left.cant see us selling that lot in 5 days.

I hope we sell the majority of the remaining tickets as 3,000 should sell out easily.

Going to Millwall nowadays is not a problem at all, in fact one of the safest away games.

Especially as in a few weeks time people will be on this board complaining that they haven't been able to get Palace tickets

No, but the getting out is - the queue for the trains back through the caged walkway should take some time. After the cup game we were kept back for what seemed like ages.

So with 3000 there I'm worried that much valuable celebratory drinking time will be lost!

I got the second train back after cup game and still back in pub at London Bridge before 6, and you can wait on concourse at ground and watch the other scores come if you want to rather than hanging around outside

Is there a choice about where you go - or is everyone not on coaches hearded towards South Bermondsey? - Surrey Quays station is only 10 mins walk away, take one stop to Canada Water, and Jubilee 2 stops to London Bridge (might work out quicker) - I use the sports hall at The New Den regularly, and that's an easy way to go, not been on a matchday though.

That's what I do, but I'm taking my nipper for his first taste of Millwall.

He's been looking at a map and wants to walk from Waterloo bridge to London Bridge to see the sights. Has anyone done this and more importantly is there any decent boozers if we use this route.I'm thinking it could be a bit of a pub crawl, but dont know the area too well.

If we want to go up, these are the games we must win. Much harder away trips to Blackpool, Boro etc.

Don't agree with that, a draw here would be a good result.

When people make these 'must win' statements it really is over dramatic. If we fail to win here we can still gain promotion.

Waterloo East - Over ground to London Bridge - Over ground to South Bermondsey IMO. Means you dont need to get a travelcard for the tube. Depending where you travel from this saves a few quid on your ticket.

2 tickets in the upper tier, 2 in the lower - doh!

looking forward to this one, we make good noise at Millwall normally. Millwall have not won at home this year, however they do play well against us. And when I say well, I mean they stop Lambert and Lallana playing.

3 points please SFC!

Yep, decent walk that, wouldn't take more than about 20mins going along the river, few pubs on the way, not the best, but they'd do and there's plenty at London Bridge once you get there. How old's your lad?

Millwall to sign Leeds United goalkeeper Maik Taylor

Millwall are set to sign Leeds United goalkeeper Maik Taylor on an emergency loan deal until the end of the season.

The 40-year-old Northern Ireland international, who has won 88 caps for his country, is being brought in due to Steve Mildenhall's ankle injury.

Taylor is yet to make an appearance at Elland Road since signing in November.

He began his career at Farnborough followed by spells at Barnet, Southampton and Fulham, before signing for Birmingham in 2004 for £1.5m.

Taylor went on to make 242 appearances for Blues over a seven-year spell at St Andrew's.

He's just turned 12, he's looking forward to it. Will he get in most of the pubs at that age?

Connolly was one of the most important players in the run-in last season. I'd have him on the bench every time over Barnard.

He scored 4 goals last season, when he was a year younger and in League 1. 3 of them came against gash teams like Shrewsbury, Walsall and Brentford. Even then he only got in the side because Barnard was injured and Lambert and Guly were the only other strikers on the books.

Connolly only scores when we are playing brilliantly, we have plenty of players who can do that. If we are not at our best and need someone who can come of the bench and nick a goal out of nowhere, Barnard and Guly are far superior.
