I know Saints have been involved in the trials for goal line technology, and they've been testing it for some time at Staplewood. Today I noticed that there are a number (12 or so) of cameras fitted to the roof of the stadium, pointing at the pitch so they aren't cctv. I'm thinking they may be the cameras that are used for Hawkeye.

Having seen that goal QPR weren't given today, it's about time they brought something in.

After the QPR ****-up this afternoon, the FA put out a hasty release calling for the technology to be introduced. Wouldn't be surprised to see it next season in the Prem and Championship

Hawkeye was being tested at St. Mary's earlier this season, it is one of two technogloies that have passed the first stage of tesing to go before IFAB for a final decision after the Euros, whether it's still installed or not I don't know.

Wasn't Hawkeye invented in Romsey? Up at Roke Manor?

I spent a lot of my childhood roaming the grounds of that place.

Yes, I believe it was, Roke Manor is/was Siemens R+D site. Worked there for a while, lovely grounds

It was invented by Paul Hawkins (hence the name), who is an artificial intelligence specialist, and was a passionate (and pretty good) cricketer at my son's old school.

Nah you're thinking of Wangy Eye, which was what StuRomseySaint had.
