Dog Posted 6 November, 2008 Share Posted 6 November, 2008 I drove 180 miles today to buy a car that I have wanted for a few months, after I'd taken it for an hours test drive and done 50 miles, I returned to the showroom to sign all the forms and pay for it, as it was awesome. Then I noticed the number plate was POU, I told the salesman I couldn't buy it any longer. Is that a good or bad thing? P.S. I would never own a private plate! Crouchie's Lawyer Posted 6 November, 2008 Share Posted 6 November, 2008 A little mad yes. I can see your point, however, PFC would have been worse. POU could stand for POULTRY or POUR. Whats the chances of another identical car coming up for sale soon? (The fact you drove 180 miles, tends to lead me to believe, they are not two-a-penny)

Rory Posted 6 November, 2008 Share Posted 6 November, 2008 I understand. My reg is xxxx NEO, which makes me the one and cool. If you’re not the one then why does my soul feel glad today? If you’re not the one then why does my hand fit yours this way? If you are not mine then why does your heart return my call, If you are not mine would I have the strength to stand at all. Ponty Posted 6 November, 2008 Share Posted 6 November, 2008 Yes. You can change your plates with the DVLA, for a different, yet standard, year denoting plate for about £100+fees.

INFLUENCED.COM Posted 7 November, 2008 Share Posted 7 November, 2008 50 miles in 1 hour ? I take it the showroom/private seller was on the motorway, or the garage/individual will soon get a lot of speeding tickets
