Northam getting quieter, Chapel getting louder?

Sat in the chapel today and was suprised at how loud it was. I normally sit in kingsland north but none the less was supprised as I heard that it's normally stone dead quiet down there. The northam though I thought kinda switched off in the second half. Just an observation.

To be honest the rest of the ground would be a lot noisier if the littls scrotes who bang the back of the northam would just slow down, they speed everything up so much the rest of the ground can't join in.

I said this to the lads who do it... They offered me a fight for my troubles.

Well the club did want us to form a "kop" maybe the Chapel is stepping up and leading the way for the fortress. You can see the opposing keeper shaking in his boots having to defend the chapel end goal

The Chapel (at least where I sit) seemed to have a few more middle age gentlemen who wanted to sing today which seemed to catch on a bit. A few ST holders around me moved to the Chapel from the Northam this season, becuase of the cost, they keep trying to start songs which don't catch on very often but once in a while they do. Second half I took my daughter to the loo as we came up the stairs from the concourse we were just hit be a wall of noise in the form of OWTS which seemed to be coming from the whole staduim .....it was f ucking good.

To be fair, its not just them. A large proportion of the Northam seem to be competing as to who can clap the fastest, most over-the-top, without actually singing.

The Chapel's only purpose is to keep the Kingsland and Itchen stands upright. They would be better off bricking it up, painting a mural, and mix the boring ****ers who sit there amongst the people with souls.

Crowd noise was better today than the p!ss-poor efforts on Tuesday, but we can still improve. Singing at the proper pace and not speeding every song up to 15000mph is a good start.

One way of tarring everyone with the same brush..!

I was in the Chapel too. It was silent!

This, the speed is hard to join in with wen not close to the Northam. Wen thy sang 'chapel give us a song' I started singing on my own and a few people made an effort to look at me as if to say 'Wat the **** r u doing' similar to if u make any noise in a library!

I was in the Itchen towards the Chapel end today (I'm a Northam ST holder) and I couldn't hear the Chapel at all, Northam were as loud as usual - very surprised at the noise the 50 or so Barnsley fans were making early on though !

I thought the Northam was quiet today sat in the chapel (though the Chapel was much louder than normal) ....Seems that people were more interested in abusing the skates than singing in support of the players....

My best mTe sirs in the chapel. He's a noisy **** when he's being quiet, deafening to sit next to. Love the chapel, my best memories behind David James hurling abuse throughout. And bettter chance of getting on telly.

It has to be said also that the stewards are great.

Though block 17 was pretty loud today

Yeah sorry about that - I threw away my Wherters, forgot the thermos, and got embarrassingly overexcited at times.

As the big ugly bloke unfortunate enough to sit behind me will doubtless confirm .......
