Get in!!

Just back from work, great stuff from the sound of the commentary, and West Hoofball Utd dropped two more points. And the skates looking more and more like relegation fodder. Just a shame Reading won, I reckoned they were on for a draw ffs

Hey ho, hey, let everybody know

That Saints are best, forget the rest

Hey ho, hey ho hey ho.

Feeling so much better with these 3 points and West Ham only managing a draw. We owe Donnie a lot for how they played today. Onwards and upwards. :)

Fantastic! Fully expecting Reading to take 2nd away from West Ham. This is what happens when West Ham dont pay the ref! Auto promotion is definatly in our hands.

It IS in our hands, yes, but there is no margin for error now, with 3 teams vying for 2 auto-prom places. We are 3 points ahead of the other 2, but they have a game in hand. If they both win it, we are there on top on goal difference alone. Of course, the other 2 have to WIN that game in hand, though.

Looks like west ham are finding out that playing hoofball works well to start with but is less effective once teams figure out how to play you. At least teams that play good football have the option to switch to hoofball but teams used to just playing hoofball can find it hard to play other ways.

There is no margin for error your right. The goal difference we have is like an extra point and I really dont believe anyone will over take it. It is in our hands but its a very fine line.

First Half. We played ok for the first 10 minutes and then had a spell of about 20 minutes of being awful. When we switched the formation to the diamond, we started playing a bit better and the goal certainly helped.

Second Half. We were a lot better. We had loads of possession and I thought Guly was great. Loads of one touch passes playing other people in. Tadanari Lee was outstanding setting up Lallana's second goal. Had a couple of decent shouts for a penalty and Connolly looked lively until he got clattered by their keeper when through on goal. That incident caused some discussion about whether it should have been a penalty. I thought it wasn't as the keeper got the ball first then followed through on Connolly, others disagreed, would be interested to see what people sat in the Northam thought. Lambert had a quiet game, but I was surprised when he came off.

Still a 'funny old league' where anybody can beat anybody !

We will lose and draw a few matches coming up, but so will WHU and the Royals, I reckon that it will go to the wire and our goal difference might just prove to be vital !

Exciting times, eh ??

COYS.

Excellent result, it would be nice if Reading or West Ham would fall away however their run ins are much more difficult than ours. West Ham have five tough home games against playoff contenders and Reading and far from spectacular home form and Reading have to play Blackpool, West Ham, Saints, Brum, Brighton in their last seven, horrible run in.

Promotion is looking ever more likely as the games go by.

"We had the chance to significantly bolster our attacking options in two transfer windows, but didn't. Had we done so, we would be killing off teams like this today. Once again, we showed too much faith in players who have not performed for us"

If we had found a way to consistently play forward from the midfield rather than sideways and back we would have won by six.

It didn't cost us any points today but it will before the end of the season, and it desperately needs fixing.

And if we're not going to reward Lee's intelligent runs with an early pass, we'd be better off not playing him.

Solid win.

First half was pretty slow and it lacked any real flow, but we still managed to score - which was as route 1 as you'll get tbh.

2nd half was better. We had more confidence in our play and used the space better, but it was helped by Barnsley obviously having to change their tactics slightly - as more space was availiable.

Thought Lee was excellent again, he works his arse off - even something you think is a lost cause turns into a corner, or a throw. He's winning so many fans and rightly so.

Great to see WHU drop points in a game I expected them to coast, you'd have to say the pressure seems to be getting to them slightly - and when you're playing at home in front of those impatient fans I'm not surprised.

Good return of points, now let's do the job in these next 2 away games and we're within touching distance.

I've noticed that in interviews, Lee's efforts rarely get mentioned by other players. That was especially noticeable today in Lallana's interview since Lee was mostly responsible for his second goal. I wonder if the language barrier is some kind of issue at the moment.

Thought we were lazy in the first half. Couldn't get a hold of the ball properly and get our passing game going. Barnsley started very well and deserved to be the side going in 1up at half time, fortunately for us Lallana popped up.

Second half was a lot better. Got our foot on the ball and knocked it around well in the midfield. Cork was good when he came on, with him and Morgan not really giving Barnsley a sniff. Wasn't surprised to see Lambert go off. Wasn't his best game and Connolly played well when he came on.

A nice three points in the end. Two huge away games coming up. Still think we are fighting Reading for this second spot and I am still very worried.

We haven't been at our best for the last 3 games but still have 7 more points in the bag. It's back in our own hands now, after Donny pulled one out of the bag.Can Reading keep winning or have they started their sprint too early? It's pretty clear that our game against them is gonna be HUGE!COYMFR!
