West ham would have won the league weeks ago....

I don't think West Ham have done any better or any worse than the value of their side would predict. I don't think their manager

changes very much at all in the equation.West Ham aren't all that good at home and seem to have difficulty in breaking down middling sides there. That's about player quality rather than management ability.

To me there are now 3 candidates for 2 automatic promotion place and we're probably the favourites to obtain 1 of them because we've more points on the board already.Having said that the 2 successful sides will probably be decided in the 2 games between the candidates and unfortunately for Reading they're away both times. Still don't count West Ham as an absolute certainty to go up though, never have.

Surely it's not that unfortunate for Reading in the case of WHU then

He's probably right, but how is it not his own fault? They've bought loads of strikers.

Also, think how much crazy hype there was about Carlton Cole. I always thought he was rubbish, yet he got in England squads and people raved about him because he had a good game twice a season in the premier league. He's not even a good finisher at this level. Lambert is so far beyond that sort of player, really hope he shows everyone in the top flight. Although even when he does, the media will just trot out the lazy Holt comparisons.

That's already started http://www.football-league.co.uk/championshipblog/20120229/matt-hollands-blog-31_2293311_2622972

Reminds me a bit of when ****flaps arrived and basically to absolve himself of all the blame if we did eventually get relegated said he was taking on an impossible task and needed to get in at least 5 players on loan to stand a chance of staying up.

I'm sure that filled the players with confidence and a desire to prove the manager wrong - yeah sure thing. Completely dispelled the theory that he was a great man manager in one day at the club. Meanwhile at the same time Bryan Robson was taking over WBA who were marooned at the bottom of the table and basically praised all of his players and guess who got relegated and guess who stayed up.

Dissing players off in public does not help the situation at all. In private or even in the changing room - but to the press, just comes across as bullying. Hope he reaps the rewards and his front players all suffer a crisis of confidence.

Have little time to read thread from here, but 'This'. Saints went to 5h1t when he cam up with that 5h1t.

Fair enough I like this from a WHU fan on KUMB, he isn't alone either.

One thing I kept finding myself thinking last night, was how we have absolutely nobody that gets the juices flowing when they get the ball. No flair. No excitement. Blimey, I even used to enjoy seeing Konchesky have a run down the left last time we were down here.

I actually think, dare I say this, we just ain't very good. We have poor players, and I think really it is as simple as that as to why we are not running away with the league. With the exception of Green, Tomkins, Faye Nolan, and Noble, the rest of them are just avarage players in an average team.

I'm not looking forward to promotion, because unless a totally new team is built, we are going to get seriously punished week in week out.

I'm sure there's no coindence between the amount of goals Rickie has got and the amount of game time he's had. So for that reason Sam is obviously wrong.

Still if we're gonna scrutinise Big Fat Sam's every interview we'll end up looking as c::ntish as the Brighton fans did last season so can we give it a rest please?

On a side note, does anyone think we would be already promoted if Alex OC had stayed another year ?

No disrespect to Chappers/SDR and Guly, but he if he can do AC Milans left back he could tie Championship defenders in knots.

Yep to Quote "When I watch Rickie Lambert play I see so much of Grant Holt in him"

and where does it say Lazy, in fact Holland seems to suggest that Lambert would step up as effectively as Holt and Graham, maybe i have missed your point?

West Ham don't have a Danny Fox, they don't have a Adam Lallana or a Frazer Richardson, neither do they have a Morgan Schniederlin or a Richard Chaplow, all players who compliment Rickie Lambert with their quality service.

Bullsh*t would they have won the league if they had Rickie Lambert, Fat Sam is a moron.

errrrrr yes you have. adriansfc was pointing out that lazy journalists would all compare Holt and Lambert becuase they've both come up from the lower leagues and are big blokes. I was pointing out that Matty Holland had already made that compararison. At no point would I describe SRL as lazy...I love the bloke (in a non man on man way:))

what a load of tosh. The fact is he doesnt play for Wham, he plays for us. If we had Messi we would be up by now. So what?

For me theres 3 teams in the running. However Saints and Wham have been up and down all season but mainly up. Reading have been pretty mid table but have suddenly put together 6 wins, rather like Brum did a few weeks ago. They are running on confidence. They could soon fall over after one bad result. Cant believe ill be actually cheering on Nugent this week.

I suggest we just sit back, put our feet up, and enjoy the potential spectacle of a West Ham implosion.

He's just offended his striker force, and motivated our lads by dissing them.

I thought it was us who were supposed to be imploding week after week after week....
