alpine_saint Posted 7 March, 2012 Share Posted 7 March, 2012 Well, if nothing else the people quoting Alps on this thread have confirmed I won't be removing him from my ignore list just yet, and I'd got the impression he was being more positive of late. Turkish Posted 7 March, 2012 Share Posted 7 March, 2012 A 1-1 draw. Is that what you class as "turning a game around"? Lol. What is the difference between that and the 1-1 at home to Cardiff after being a goal down (apart from the fact that we were playing better opposition)? And away at West Ham and Reading, now two of the top 3. Round of applause to us for turning games round against our rivals. Why can't they do that? Tamesaint Posted 7 March, 2012 Share Posted 7 March, 2012 I agree with Alps. Until the middle of December we had been behind for a grand total of just 5 minutes at home. (Forest for a minute and Hull for 4 minutes). How can we show our fightback qualities if we don't let the opposition score more often ??? Adkins out!! Turkish Posted 7 March, 2012 Share Posted 7 March, 2012 Everyone, look at Sue.... Her posts are odd. One against you telling everyone that you are on her ignore list and won't be coming off it, I'm sure you're bothered. Her sole contribution to a thread the other day was to say I am a ****. Very strange going in.

I was sat in block 28. Not huge boos, don't get me wrong, but a group of boo's not far away from me. Probably from the same area which contained a bloke who thought Adkins was out of his depth, and we need to replace him if we get promoted - as it will be in 'spite' of him. Genius. trousers Posted 7 March, 2012 Share Posted 7 March, 2012 No we havent. Have we come from behind once to win this year ? Fought our way back to an even standing then ruthlessly turned the screw ? How about doing some research and post your findings rather than post questions? Just an idea. Then we'd have something tangible to debate rather than scattergun hunches. CWD Posted 7 March, 2012 Share Posted 7 March, 2012 Shame Alpine, you were really starting to improve of late. What's the point of saying things like 'if WHU had played for a couple more minutes they would have won'. Fact is they didn't play 2 more minutes, and they didn't win. It's when you put needlessly negative slants on your opinion like this that wind people up. Also, as I've said before, why present it as though it's a fact? When we draw, it's because the lads are **** or bottled it, but when our rivals drop points it's because they didn't have enough time to win!? Seriously!? Both good results tonight as it also probably means we're out of sight of Brighton and Cardiff. I'm a little ****ed off though coz I put a bit of money on Watford to win! shurlock Posted 7 March, 2012 Share Posted 7 March, 2012 Out of the 15 league games we've gone behind in, we've lost 7, drawn 6 and won 2 - in other words, we've got something out of more than half those games. Not too shabby. Have heard some moronic things on here but the idea we don't win enough when we go behind -in large part because we rarely go behind- takes the biscuit

Goalie66 Posted 7 March, 2012 Share Posted 7 March, 2012 In a few weeks time we may find out that our inability to do against Bristol City, what West Ham almost managed to do tonight, will cost us another season in this damned second tier of football, and consequently may cost us all the quality from our squad for next season. Or we may look back on points stolen at Leeds and say that was when we knew we were going up !!.

Cant have the good name and image of the Football League and FA besmirched and West Ham annoyed sufficiently to take us to court, can we ? Really wonder what the hold West Ham has over the footballing authorities in this country, what with this and the Tevez/Mascherano affair.
