alpine_saint Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 Full time. Result! Boos ring out around Upton Park Saints stay top of the league
CB Fry Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 Why cant we do this in games ? We do. We drew 1-1 at home yesterday.
doddisalegend Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 Get the f uck in well done Watford. See anything we can do WHU can do to.....
saintscottofthenortham Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 Honestly, can anyone justify the boo's? Unblievable IMO.
St.Jeweller Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 3rd home draw in a row, started with the draw with us
S-Clarke Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 Honestly, can anyone justify the boo's? Unblievable IMO. There were a few boo's around me last night tbh.
Thedelldays Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 1-1 cracking result......who thought this result would happen..this was a home banker for them
stevegrant Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 Honestly, can anyone justify the boo's? Unblievable IMO. Yes. That squad should have won the league already. Watford
alpine_saint Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 What is your problem??? look at the league table. I'd say we've done that more often than not this year! No we havent. Have we come from behind once to win this year ? Fought our way back to an even standing then ruthlessly turned the screw ? Last year at least we had that memorable MK Dons game.
red&white56 Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 What a difference 24 hours makes - everything looks pretty positive again.!
Colinjb Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 ....but what a week for reading! Absolutely! But will they be able to sustain the momentum?
saintscottofthenortham Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 There were a few boo's around me last night tbh. You should have willy slapped them.
LVSaint Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 If everyone stops biting at Alpine's hook, maybe he'll get (even more) bored and cease?
Saintandy666 Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 Not bad then. It's so tight at the top. If only we had won yesterday...
saintscottofthenortham Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 If everyone stops biting at Alpine's hook, maybe he'll get (even more) bored and cease? He won't. HTH.
alpine_saint Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 We do. We drew 1-1 at home yesterday. Lol. Very good CB Fry. You know what I meant. The only time I remember us frequently turning games around was under WGS.
Matthew Le God Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 10 mins of xtra time? Serious injury to a Watford player.
S-Clarke Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 No we havent. Have we come from behind once to win this year ? Fought our way back to an even standing then ruthlessly turned the screw ? Last year at least we had that memorable MK Dons game. We haven't been in that position too much. .As others have pointed out, we usually have games won by that stage. Our position in the league, goal difference and points return suggests' we've won more than we've lost or thrown away - so I'd suggest there's very little to moan about at the moment. If you're still finding negatives in this situation then I don't think you should follow football.
saintscottofthenortham Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 Lol. Very good CB Fry. You know what I meant. The only time I remember us frequently turning games around was under WGS. Because nowadays, we don't tend to have to turn games around, because we are always winning you incredibly tedious muppet.
Hopkins Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 Honestly, can anyone justify the boo's? Unblievable IMO. We've boo'ed our own players at times this season.
David Strover Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 Yet again about 85% of predictions of how good our opponents are are proved wrong. More people come on here and praise our opponents than they do Saints. We drew last night after mainly being the better side and let in an unlucky equaliser, West Ham United drew with a pretty **** Watford team and were lucky with a last minute equaliser yet some how the Hammers are better than us - including one prediction I read of them not dropping anymore points this season! Oh dear got that one wrong didn't we? If you could accurately predict the outcome of football matches bookies wouldn't take bets on games ever and the 'pools' would never had existed. Sometimes this forum makes me so blooming angry. Saints FC first. Southampton above all else.
kpturner Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 (edited) Two great results tonight. Would have snapped your hand off if you had offered two draws tonight.....whoever *you* are :-) Edited 7 March, 2012 by kpturner

If you're still finding negatives in this situation then I don't think you should follow football. In a few weeks time we may find out that our inability to do against Bristol City, what West Ham almost managed to do tonight, will cost us another season in this damned second tier of football, and consequently may cost us all the quality from our squad for next season.
Turkish Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 No we havent. Have we come from behind once to win this year ? Fought our way back to an even standing then ruthlessly turned the screw ? Last year at least we had that memorable MK Dons game. Hull at home, 0-1 at half time, won 2-1. Next.
BadgerBadger Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 Just shows it's more important to have points on the board than games in hand - we must keep the pressure up, right up I tell thee

BTW, it wasnt a prediction, more of an impression.
saintscottofthenortham Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 We've boo'ed our own players at times this season. I havn't heard it. I have called Guly a c*nt, but I would never boo one of our own*. *exept Puncheon, he's still a c#nt.** ** Until he scores.
Colinjb Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 Have we come from behind once to win this year ? Fought our way back to an even standing then ruthlessly turned the screw ? Last year at least we had that memorable MK Dons game. Coventry away in the cup.
alpine_saint Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 Hull at home, 0-1 at half time, won 2-1. Next. Thanks for the reminder.
Whitey Grandad Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 No we havent. Have we come from behind once to win this year ? Fought our way back to an even standing then ruthlessly turned the screw ? Last year at least we had that memorable MK Dons game. Saints 3 Forest 2. ?
kpturner Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 Lol. Very good CB Fry. You know what I meant. The only time I remember us frequently turning games around was under WGS.A 1-1 draw. Is that what you class as "turning a game around"? Lol. What is the difference between that and the 1-1 at home to Cardiff after being a goal down (apart from the fact that we were playing better opposition)?
Colinjb Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 Saints 3 Forest 2. ? Ah yes, great game. Really had to fight for it.
doddisalegend Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 LOL quick look on the KUMB post match thread could be this place last night..... not a happy bunch of fans tonight
kpturner Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 Saints 3 Forest 2. ?he is having a bad night isn't he? :-)
alpine_saint Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 A 1-1 draw. Is that what you class as "turning a game around"? Lol. What is the difference between that and the 1-1 at home to Cardiff after being a goal down (apart from the fact that we were playing better opposition)? If West Ham had had a few more minutes, they would have got the winner. They were piling huge pressure on.
ART Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 What a difference 24 hours makes - everything looks pretty positive again.! When I saw the results just now the exact same words went through my head. It does look so much better but had we won we'd have been looking very pretty indeed.
Dark Munster Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 No we havent. Have we come from behind once to win this year ? Fought our way back to an even standing then ruthlessly turned the screw ? Last year at least we had that memorable MK Dons game. I agree. It's disgraceful we didn't come from behind in our 4-0 and 3-0 wins over Watford.
suewhistle Posted 7 March, 2012 Posted 7 March, 2012 Well, if nothing else the people quoting Alps on this thread have confirmed I won't be removing him from my ignore list just yet, and I'd got the impression he was being more positive of late.
