the saint in winchester Posted 8 March, 2012 Share Posted 8 March, 2012 Hmmm... isn't piquionne due to play against us for doncaster as well? Yes! There should be a stipulation that if you have faced a particular team twice already, then you can't play against them a 3rd time for a new club. Both Picquionne and Nouble have played for their owning clubs against us twice already. That should blackball them to be playing against us again. Wilf Posted 8 March, 2012 Share Posted 8 March, 2012 Guly is a decent player when on song but when he is not he is awful. He was rubbish the other night and those who think he was ok need to remove their blinkers. Just so I'm clear, is this the same Guly who had a decent game and got an ovation when he went off? Just checking.

Can't recall an assist, key piece of build up, or decent effort (I'm not saying he hasn't done any of these, just none stand out). I would give SDR a start, has looked alright when playing @ home, got an assist the other day also. I would have thought he'd be up for a start and staking a claim for a place. Minty Posted 9 March, 2012 Share Posted 9 March, 2012 1 - Couldn't give a sh!t about Nouble. 2 - Fully expect Chappers back on the right, and Cork back in the middle, with Lallana and Schneiderlin. 3 - Feeling in my waters that Lee is about to start getting amongst the goals/assists. His movement, awareness and generally tactical awareness are excellent, and he's playing well already... I can see the partnership with Rickie really start to flourish and end product is due soon. Tomorrow will be the day. 4 - Be positive. Ignore Reading and West Ham. We will win and we will stay top. COYR

RobM Posted 9 March, 2012 Share Posted 9 March, 2012 Spoke to Fox last night at about 7.00 p.m outside the main entrance, he said he is probably going to be out for about 4 weeks, soi if that is the case it will be Dan Harding for a while at left back. NA on the Saints OS say's Fox is training at the moment and is in contention for Saturday.
Window Cleaner Posted 9 March, 2012 Share Posted 9 March, 2012 The programme guide on the Canal Satellite decoder says that we're on L'Equipe TV tomorrow afty. Don't know how many of you can access that.I have to go down the South Coast tomorrow so I won't be able to watch but I'll be putting it into the memory so that I can catch up on Sunday. Might be able to tune into the match thread for a bit though. I've an hour free in the afternoon so I might just WiFi in from Montpellier 2 or failing that I'll just go and have a mega bucket at KFC Perols and wifi up from there. Can only confirm again what he said to myself and at least 3 other people, that he was out for about 4 weeks, but had a scan last Wednesday to confirm this. Maybe he was told to tell us the wrong Information, or maybe Adkins is trying to confuse the opposition again. I suppose we will have to wait and see if he plays or not ? Can't really see him getting on the pitch again unless injuries hit us quite badly. What did people make of him in his brief appearance against Leicester...? Looked talented, but too light weight. Got knocked off the ball very easily, but clearly is very skilful, needs to man-up a lot to make it in England, especially in the Championship. Could not really understand why we signed him, unless it was because Punch was not in our plans.

Wade Garrett Posted 10 March, 2012 Share Posted 10 March, 2012 I don't think you should be allowed to loan players within the same league. It's so dodgy. Why should a team be able to make their rivals games more difficult? Forget us for a moment, i'm sure we'll win those 2 games anyway, but what about Man City? All their rivals have to face Spurs with Adebayor, who makes a big difference. Man City get to face a weakened Spurs. There's something really wrong there. I think UEFA are trying to alter the present loan system.

Saint Fan CaM Posted 10 March, 2012 Share Posted 10 March, 2012 An interesting game - typical banana skin for Saints given it's a mid-table opposition. Lee has to start to give us the pace up front. PaulGilchrist_76 Posted 10 March, 2012 Share Posted 10 March, 2012 I would like Sharp to start with Lee to come off the bench as an impact sub. Puncheon on the right with De Ridder to replace him should he fail to impress. I would like to see us attack from the off rather than wait until the last twenty minutes. How about giving Shaw a chance if Fox is still unfit? This lad deserves a chance to see what he can do.
