Littlelat17 Posted 7 March, 2012 Share Posted 7 March, 2012 While buying my sister a ticket for Barnsley this Saturday at the ticket office last night, i was given a flyer about the pompey tickets but on the back there is another advert about the Coventry home game which says "Tickets to the all important last game of the season must be bought in conjuction with either the Ipswich game or Barnsley game." I dont remember seeing any announcement of this on the website and having only read the flyer after leaving the ticket office, seems a bit silly to try and link the two games. Also checking on the website it mentions no details of Reading or Coventry tickets - Just Barnsley, Doncaster, and P**pey... Has anyone bought Coventry tickets yet? RobM Posted 7 March, 2012 Share Posted 7 March, 2012 They made a big deal of it on the website. There will be a two week exclusive period for fans who have been to Ipswich and Barnsley, then it will go to general sale afterwards. They haven't hid it, they have promoted it. But they also got it wrong on the website. It said to buy a ticket for the Coventry game you had to buy tickets for Ipswich AND Barnsley, this was an error as you only needed tickets for Ipswich OR Barnsley. Littlelat17 Posted 7 March, 2012 Author Share Posted 7 March, 2012 thanks guys, must have been away when that was on there, the wording of the flyer - and also the article - could have been better phased then

The ticket office / club communication are rubbish.
jayrivers Posted 7 March, 2012 Share Posted 7 March, 2012 The article says you get priroty only if you attend both games? http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2619084,00.html "Saints are offering supporters who attend both forthcoming home matches against Ipswich Town and Barnsley the benefit of a priority booking window to purchase tickets for the last game of the season." So is this incorrect?
Saints Warrior Posted 7 March, 2012 Share Posted 7 March, 2012 I could se this coming months ago, to get the chance to see Saints do `The Double` over Pompey (get promoted and relegate Skates) is a once in a lifetime game so will be sold out twice over. Saint-Fred Posted 7 March, 2012 Share Posted 7 March, 2012 So is this incorrect?[/quote Yes you only had to buy tickets for one of the two games and you could already have a coventry ticket in your hands!]

So is this incorrect? They have not been sticking to that. I was working last night, so couldn't go. I rang up to get tickets for Barnsley and was going to get ipswich, to ensure Cov tickets. When I was talking to the guy and explained that the Ipswich ticket wouldn't be used and I was just paying for it to ensure Cov tickets, he told me it was one or the other (Barnsley or Ipswich). The tickets (Barnsley/Cov) came together in the post the next day.
SaintNeil90 Posted 7 March, 2012 Share Posted 7 March, 2012 You can buy coventry tickets if you go to one of them, doesnt have to be both. They offered me a coventry ticket on the phone when I got a ticket for Ipswich for my Dad.
RedWillie Posted 7 March, 2012 Share Posted 7 March, 2012 and to further complicate matters they let me buy a child and adult ticket for Barnsley and two adults for Coventry. (Didn't have to buy an Ipswich tkt)
