Roger Posted 7 March, 2012 Share Posted 7 March, 2012 Tonight only reinforced my view. I think nigel(great manager) was wrong to say lallana is the best player in the league. Lambert has proved he is. His finishing is in a different class to lallana and he also creates just as many if not more than adam. Tonight rickie won nearly everything in the air but he has to pull out to the wing to create all the time. I feel nigel was wrong to say that when rickie is blatantly the best player in the league this year.

Dig Dig Posted 7 March, 2012 Share Posted 7 March, 2012 I agree, Lambert is our best player no doubt.
shurlock Posted 7 March, 2012 Share Posted 7 March, 2012 He had a poor game tonight by his very high standards.

Roger Posted 10 March, 2012 Author Share Posted 10 March, 2012 when is the champ player of the year announced? Rickie surely will win it?
S-Clarke Posted 10 March, 2012 Share Posted 10 March, 2012 He should win it, easily. He's such an all round player. He's not your typical 'lump it up'' centre forward, ala Steve Howard. Hes got technique, touch, a brain and is clever enough to even play in the hole. As an all round player he's just superb and without him we're half the team tbf. Bailey Posted 10 March, 2012 Share Posted 10 March, 2012 It's not been 'officially' announced yet, but I'm under the impression Lallana has won it.

supersonic Posted 10 March, 2012 Share Posted 10 March, 2012 IMO Morgan is better, and more under rated than these 2, who are both excellent. We seem to lose control of midfield and a playmaker to help us attack

He was also very poor on Tuesday. Doesn't mean I don't rate him as a top class player, but making out he was good today is just a joke. Today Morgan and Lallana were class. Sparky_Mark Posted 10 March, 2012 Share Posted 10 March, 2012 When he plays poor he still creates goals, doesn't that say it all? however from what i have seen Morgan is our best player with Lallana being the most influential!

sammysaint Posted 10 March, 2012 Share Posted 10 March, 2012 Lamberts played poor in 2 games, but in one he gets a goal and in the other he sets one up. Top striker for me, even when overall he is poor still making the difference when he is ment to.

We also have the best MIDFIELDER, several of the best DEFENDERS and (probably) the best KEEPER, too.

sidthesquid Posted 11 March, 2012 Share Posted 11 March, 2012 Not necessarily our 'best' player, but definitely the one we most need to be playing.
Leicestersaint Posted 12 March, 2012 Share Posted 12 March, 2012 Lambert has been excellent this season but Lallana is outstanding and will be a major asset in the premier league - first rate!
Golden Balls Posted 12 March, 2012 Share Posted 12 March, 2012 I think when either of them are out of the team, we suffer big time. However, when lambert is out of the team, we struggle far more.
Wiggles31 Posted 12 March, 2012 Share Posted 12 March, 2012 Best player for me for us and in the division. Without him we are not really the same team. That said when he came off on Saturday we played well still.
