Billy Sharp Sharp Sharp

I think you need to be a bit more specific about what you're complaining about. Do you dislike that particular song? Do you think it's inappropriate? Should we sit in silence and only applaud politely?

I don't like the fact that there are too many anti-Portsmouth songs. I would much rather we focused on songs about our own club and our own players. But as gammon cheeks says any sing ing is better than no singing. If you have suggestions about alternatives, I'd love to hear them.

Sorry DJ_TOAST, what are all of us allowed to sing? I forgot you made the rules. Especially when they are both PRO Saints songs without a single referrence to the blue few. Maybe you would prefer it if we sang 'Pompey fan, on a string...' because of its lyrical genius.

Yeah, such bloody mongos singing songs in support of our players. I bet it was them Northam fcks who started it.

Wow you internet warrior. Why don't you confront these people during or after the game instead of moaning like a girl behind a computer.

Would you also care to enlighten us on better songs for our players?

I don't understand, what's wrong with it?

This. People can sing what the hell they want at the footy. I'd rather a load of 'naff' songs were being sung at SMS than nothing at all. If anything it helps drown out the miserable b*stards moaning about Guly all match long

Last night was quiet, more atmosphere would be preferrable to less! Most of the recent chants carry well around the ground and build as they repeat ('cringey' or not the Lee one is a good example of this) but everything was falling flat. I know there's high expectations at the moment but the impatience is unnecessary when there's only an hour of the match gone. Sing whatever you like, getting behind the lads has made a difference time and again.

Sorry guys I was a bit drunk and ****ed off last night.

You're right at least it's some noise (which there was little of last night).

I don't think I would hate the songs as much if it wasn't for this guy with this annoying voice who sings em behind us.

The same Northam bloody mongos moaning at everything Guly did. Pathetic abuse all night from the same brain dead idiots.
I should know better by now, but it never fails to surprise me how many thick people pack into that section of the ground. Problem is, it's the only bit of the ground that really sings.

It wouldn't be so bad if Billy Sharp, Sharp, Sharp was any effing good, god, good but he ain't, ain't, ain't and looks to be another perfect shoe-in for a Effing headless chicken, chicken, chicken. Where do we find these Division 3 hot-shoes that other big clubs seem unable to discover?

Premier League, you're having a laugh, laugh, laugh!

You must be gutted this morning coming so close to pulling that 4 goal deficit back - must be hell not having a trophy to cheer for 7 years. You should watch and cheer on Saints FC at least we won a tin pot trophy 2 years ago and played at Wembley.

That Arsene bloke has to be replaced soon do you think Pardew will get it he has won more recently.

Wrong....

All around where I sit in block 34 do so perhaps you are sat in the correct section.

I'd say its nerves more than impatience. Everyone just wants us to win and go up & now we have such a good chance we've all got nervous IMO.

Block 34? You get a few people clapping along a bit and that is it. All sat down as well. Nothing wrong with that, but I'm not sure what your point is?

You really are on a roll now...wrong again.... here is a clue "but it never fails to surprise me how many thick people pack into that section of the ground" your section??

So what you are saying is that only real true supporters that sing stand up.....

Where have I said that? You're once again demonstrating your inability to read and comprehend basic sentences.

You also demonstrate your inability to understand basic sentences you write as usual.

"it's the only bit of the ground that really sings" "You get a few people clapping along a bit and that is it. All sat down as well" and as I said thats is rubbish....

Next time you are at a match have a look across at the Itchen, look at blocks 33-35 ok not as vocal as the Northam but singing all the same. Ill leave it at that I think.

:uhoh: I said the only bit of the ground that "really" sings, not "ever" sings, even the Chapel gets involved now and then. Not that it really bothers me that much, but it's one of the obvious reasons why a lot fo people still stick with the Northam despite it's other faults. How old are you? Guessing by your username, early 60s? And you're crying about my posts about singing at football

Ok so you want to carry this on...wtf difference does it make who sings and where really? you were the one that bought up about only the Northam really sings so sounds like you are the one doing the crying.

Why did I get involved in this...just it makes me slightly annoyed at the way some fans label certain areas of the ground

and think they are better because they stand and sing in the Northam ...something some of us did years ago at The Dell and in fact at times still do.

Regardless of my age and your wrong again there but why should I be surprised as you got nearly everything else wrong on this thread.

St Marys was like a morgue for large parts of the game last night, 23,000 people sat in complete and utter silence other than the Northam at times, and the Itchen block 4, i was in the chapel where i sit quite a bit and it was very very quiet, i also sit in Kingsland block 33 sometimes and don't see much singng, just a few clapping along but generally more interested in getting really angry at a bad decision by a linesman.
