How many other teams play without a keeper on the bench?

It seems Nigel has left Bart out again what do you think of this new trend? I know it could partly be down to only 5 subs but I think it could also be a sign of our intent to win games of football and sometimes may give us a slight edge in the mind games! Do many other teams not include a keeper ?

How often is the sub keeper EVER used ??

If he is injured then another player will probably do a decent enough job for half a game etc.

Dont see the need of sub keepers TBH

Good job WGS didn't think that in the FA Cup Final

Interesting to see that since West Ham's freak result at Blackpool with 10 men and Lansbury in goal for a while, people seem to have decided all outfielders are fine in goal. To them I have two words : Dexter Blackstock.

IIRC Warnock never puts a keeper on the bench, Allardyce rarely does it. Haven't paid too much attention to others.

Good point. It was embarrassing how many goals Dexter let in.

I hope it makes the Football League look at this subs rule and change it back to 7 next season.

By the logic they used to reduce it to 5 they are now doing goalkeepers out of a living :-D
