I showed my class after the game, by turning to my mate and laughing, before saying "how the **** did we get away with that". I dont think Warnock did any thing wrong, most people watching would have thought the same.

You had me worried for a minute. ;)

We were seriously fortunate that Kelvin had a blinder.

Less seriously fortunate than Leeds not being able to shoot straight though. KD and the defence did a great job but Leeds helped them with their general inefficacity.

Reminds me of us away at Walsall last season.Any other day we'd have scored 10.

Difference is one of class - we think it, we know it Adkins knows it, but at th end of a match, you shake hands and walk away - then later in private sure have a wee banter moment with Adkins, afterall he was not disagreeing.... but doing it on live telly to someones back, just smacks of small man syndrome and a lack of professional respect. Warnock is one of teh first to suggest he never hgets teh respect he should be due, well with comments like that in public, I am not surprized. total p rick

Don't see what people's problem is with Warnock. Far worse people in modern football than him.

His interviews crack me up. Speaks his mind and gives The FA and it's inept refs abuse whenever he can, I certainly don't have a problem with him.

That was one of those games, we've all seen it happen to Saints in the past. Some times it just wont go in for you no matter what you do!

I don't like Warnock one little bit, & it was hilarious during the game seeing him going purple on the side lines as another chance went begging!

But you really can't argue with what he said. I think most of us are of the same opinion I know I said it, to my Lad. Also just text the same comment to my mate!

Oh don't be so precious.

If anything I think Adkins is the discourtesy one here. He shakes Warnock's hand and turns his back as quick as he can. Think Warnock was expecting a few words between them like most managers do when shaking hands.

The other thing is the point he's making is spot on.

I quite like warnock, he is a decent manager. Some of the responses on here are hilarious. All I have heard is him being complementary of us and saying we will get promoted. What an a*sehole for wondering how we won the game. I was thinking the exact same thing.

Oh god, don't remind me about that game! Was a shocker. I'm sure we where all saying similar to Warnock at the final whistle.

just had a look at the "back from the game" thread about walsall...

the general feeling was promotion was gone, adkins was clueless and how the fuk did they win

Very simple really. Leeds players, particularly Webber, were not good enough to convert decent chances. We had one clear chance and we have players who can convert them. That's why we won

You're forgetting the heroics by Davis, our defence putting their bodies on the line for the entire 90mins and a large slice of luck.

Some good saves from Davis agreed, but that's his job, as is the job of defenders to put the blocks in when needed. There was nothing lucky about our win on saturday. Leeds were abysmal in front of goal. The two headers where they hit the bar summed it up. Some call it bad luck, i call it a lack of ability on the night to score with pretty much free headers from 6 yards out...

come on....we played the 1 game out of 10 that we would have won

would you say as such the next time we murder a team and lose 0-1..?

Yes! Why do you think players like Darren Bent have fetched the transfer fees he has? It certainly isn't his all round game, which isn't premier league class. But you give him a chance in front of goal and he scores. Danny Webber has never made it at the top level, probably because his finishing is absolute crap.

If Leeds had had prefectly good goals disallowed, obvious penalty appeals turned away etc then you could say we were lucky. Otherwise, no. It was just a lack of ability that lost them the game

Of course we were lucky on Saturday. You'd have to be pretty dense or just looking for an argument to suggest otherwise.

No, not an obvious penalty. Fonte sees the ball coming at his head, turns away putting his arm up as protection and ball strikes his arm. Referee has a decision to make.

Warnock claims in interview after the game that this "changed the whole game". No it did not.

The interviewer should have asked him how it changed the game so that we could all have had a bloody good laugh watching Warnock explain that.

And just how did it change the game?

Answer that.

What would Leeds have done differently in the remaining 85mins or so? How do you know Davis would not have saved the penalty if it had been given on the form he was in? You can't even say the score would have been different.

What I always find silly is that if a keeper has a great game it is as though the other team should have one, but if a striker single handedly beats a team then the better team won. A keeper is a still a member of the 11 and as important as anyone. Sure Kelvin had a good game, but then some games this season West Ham would not of won if it wernt for Nolan, or Barcelona if it wernt for Messi etc etc etc.

My theory is that colin was especially plssed off because managers are always expected to win their first home game in charge. The players usually put in an extra pound of effort, which leeds certainly did, but he walked away with nul points and looking like a tw*t. Well, thats life in football colin, you should be used to it by now.

Came across well on the qpr documentary on Sunday night (worth a watch on Iplayer if you missed it). He just gets carried away the same way fans do and he sees the game through tinted glasses like fans do. Basically he is just like a fan.

I must admit I really like Warnock. Comes across well in most interviews and took his sacking at QPR with dignity. As someone else said, there are worse people in football.

It is not the fact that he said that - It's the fact that he always has too much to say and he is a nasty smarmy person who said some quite horrible things about us when we sacked Pardew...........More opinion that was not required or useful.......! As was said on the Football League Show he ALWAYS has to have a go at someone if he looses and it's usually the referee! Sad guy..

OH NOES!!!

Managers always stick together and to those looking in from the outside, it would've come across as quite a bizarre and unfair sacking.
