SNSUN Posted 5 March, 2012 Posted 5 March, 2012 After mentioning on another thread I bought a treadmill, on a whim after thinking I'd use it all the time to lose weight but haven't, what purchases (expensive or not) do you wish you'd never made? I bought the box set of Friends - well over £200 in total value - on VHS, shortly before VCR's became redundant technology.

Saint137 Posted 6 March, 2012 Posted 6 March, 2012 Fiat Coupe Turbo 20v. £5k of **** car. Awesomely fast, didn't handle, and was always broken
norwaysaint Posted 6 March, 2012 Posted 6 March, 2012 A rowing machine. Took up tons of space and bust my knee the second time I used it. Also the computer was no good and I could row for ages without it really measuring any progress. I sold it for a profit and bought a cross-trainer for a few hundred quid, which is far better and I use for at least an hour a day without ****ing up my knees.
CB Saint Posted 6 March, 2012 Posted 6 March, 2012 The various gym memberships I have had over the years - work out at about £2 per session in first month rising to £50 per session by month 4. The gym equipment I bought for home when I finally stop renewing the memberhips above - although they are good for draping stuff on them The really expensive trainers purchased because I was going to go road running instead of using the gym equipment, because i didn't like being cooped up in the garage and wanted fresh air instead.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 6 March, 2012 Posted 6 March, 2012 A £3000 mountain bike that in have used a handful of times as I moved to London soon after buying it.
Colinjb Posted 6 March, 2012 Posted 6 March, 2012 FIFA 12 After months of friends telling me I should get back on board with this type of game I decided to go with the peer pressure and invest on launch day. I've played it twice and never gone back to it. The game is beautifully crafted, shows superb attention to detail but I get no thrill from it. £40 wasted.
Sour Mash Posted 6 March, 2012 Posted 6 March, 2012 I bought the box set of Friends - well over £200 in total value - No-way should anyone, ever admit that
keithd Posted 6 March, 2012 Posted 6 March, 2012 No-way should anyone, ever admit that especially as its on the TV pretty much every day anyway!!
doddisalegend Posted 6 March, 2012 Posted 6 March, 2012 PGO G-max scooter. Looked the Dogs wotsits (for a scooter), Red and white colour scheme (naturally) and for a 125 went like **** of a shovel (I could get 70mph out of it). Sadly it suffered from carb freeze as soon as the tempreture dipped to around zero and constantly broke down spending more time in the garage than on the road. In the end had to trade it in for some horrible looking gutless Puegot 125 that could barely do 50mph but never broke down.
