Matthew Le Tissier Posted 6 March, 2012 Posted 6 March, 2012 The vile specimens won't see the season out anyway so any points lossed or gained is futile.
trousers Posted 6 March, 2012 Posted 6 March, 2012 Two things: Why do people think it is worthwhile, as a Saints fan to engage with them on their forum. I have a look from time to time, but to get into conversations etc. that StuRomseySaint, what a knob! Might as well be one of them, isnt he a Nick illingworth wannabee anyway? And the other. Why are we calling them Pompey? Its their ****ing nickname ffs, do you think they call us Saints? They should be known as either Portsmouth or better still, 'the lot down the road', Pompey, about as cringeworthy as Bompey! It's because we're more intelligent than your average football fan and thus rise above the playground insults by calling them 'Pompey'. I believe the statutory ending to this post is: HTH

Have you not considered that it reinforces our superiority over them when we rise above them? The older generation usually refer to them and the city of Portsmouth as Pompey, so what's changed?
dune Posted 6 March, 2012 Author Posted 6 March, 2012 Is that Turkish and Sturomseysaint? I'm not sure which Turkish will find the most offensive - being likened to them OR the association with SRS.

Us, as football fans, reinforcing superiority?? I dont think we need to do that, youmake it sound like a game of polo ffs!

Golden Balls Posted 6 March, 2012 Posted 6 March, 2012 I hope they win today as they will hate how much it helps us out. However, they wont win
CFSFC Posted 6 March, 2012 Posted 6 March, 2012 I hate them as much as I love us. So I will never utter those words. Most cringeworthy thing I've ever read on here
Avenue Saint Posted 6 March, 2012 Posted 6 March, 2012 Dune the undercover racist skate! The truth is out there.....
dune Posted 6 March, 2012 Author Posted 6 March, 2012 I'll never ever say or type such words. I hate them as much as I love us. So I will never utter those words. Most cringeworthy thing I've ever read on here We have already heard your views so would you kindly refrain from spamming my thread until you have something new and interesting to say.

Thedelldays Posted 6 March, 2012 Posted 6 March, 2012 Is that Turkish and Sturomseysaint? Bloody glory hunters, go anywhere they can put on a jesters hat.
The9 Posted 6 March, 2012 Posted 6 March, 2012 It's because we're more intelligent than your average football fan and thus rise above the playground insults by calling them 'Pompey'. I believe the statutory ending to this post is: HTH I like "Skate Cheats FC" for them, lest we forget. I am already far superior to all of them and also have the moral high ground, so I don't really care if people think I'm stooping to their level, because I assure you I am still far and away better than them, up here in my ivory tower where the air smells of cinnamon.
Window Cleaner Posted 6 March, 2012 Posted 6 March, 2012 Is Pompey not what Portsmouth is traditionally called. Can't remember the place ever having any other name than Pompey. When I was a kid you went east to Pompey and north east'ish to "The Smoke".On rare home visits from Uni my Grandad always asked about life in "The Smoke" in general and the Union Jack Club in particular, used to make stuff up about the Union Jack though because I never actually went there, think it was across from Waterloo though.
trousers Posted 6 March, 2012 Posted 6 March, 2012 are you generally like this in everyday life? "Life" is someone else's dream. When they wake up we cease to exist.
Tokyo-Saint Posted 6 March, 2012 Posted 6 March, 2012 I'm not sure which Turkish will find the most offensive - being likened to them OR the association with SRS. He would never get offended by an internet mong board, would never take it so seriously.
Noodles34 Posted 6 March, 2012 Posted 6 March, 2012 Did you think to yourself "right i'm gonna tell him" before you typed that? yeah, how did you know that?
Noodles34 Posted 6 March, 2012 Posted 6 March, 2012 "Life" is someone else's dream. When they wake up we cease to exist. cool, one and a half hours to come up with that one... can i borrow your book sometime?
dvaughanwilliams Posted 6 March, 2012 Posted 6 March, 2012 I'd be happy with a draw and both teams finishing with 9 men. And lots of injuries to key players.
dune Posted 6 March, 2012 Author Posted 6 March, 2012 cool, one and a half hours to come up with that one... can i borrow your book sometime? You've been poodled.
Dark Munster Posted 6 March, 2012 Posted 6 March, 2012 I'd be happy with a draw and both teams finishing with 9 men. And lots of injuries to key players. Rather generous. How about both teams finishing with 6 men, match abandoned, 0 points each?
CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 6 March, 2012 Posted 6 March, 2012 Regardless of what we might want Reading will almost certainly prove to be way too good for Pompey methinks - could even be a proper 3 or 4 goal thrashing.
