Gemmel Posted 5 March, 2012 Share Posted 5 March, 2012 http://eurorivals.net/squad/rangers.html Ten players to be made redundant today, plus the chance of taking others on loan. This Charming Man Posted 5 March, 2012 Share Posted 5 March, 2012 I go up to watch Rangers a fair bit and the only player we would want is Allan McGregor. Imagine there will be a few Premiership clubs interested in him though. The standard up there is terrible.
This Charming Man Posted 5 March, 2012 Share Posted 5 March, 2012 Mo Edu Hell no. He's shocking and hated by most Rangers fans for being useless and to be deemed useless up there is quite an achievement.

Lighthouse Posted 5 March, 2012 Share Posted 5 March, 2012 Our squad is big enough as it is and I really don't think we need cover in any possition at the moment. I'd say we need to be getting rid of 6 or 7 players before we start bringing more in.

Not to mention at least one more centre back, Martin is coping really well however i dont want to see Seaborne as our other reserve CB.

Let me guess a bad performance at right back and suddenly he's written off while a couple of decent games from fox must have him on Harva's hit list? People crack me up we have 2 perfectly capable first team left backs plus Shaw and dickson!

End of the season I'd imagine we'll be looking at the squad pretty thoroughly depending on where we're at.

End of the season I'd imagine we'll be looking at the squad pretty thoroughly depending on where we're at. But at the moment I don't think that the young players (apart from the 1st team regulars) are an option. I noticed that only the senior players are involved with the 1st team training sessions nowadays. Edited 6 March, 2012 by Window Cleaner
SFC Chris Posted 6 March, 2012 Share Posted 6 March, 2012 Why is Greg Wylde getting heaps of praise on here? The guy has a bit of pace but absolutely no final ball to go along with it. Naismith is the only guy in a forward sense who would get near our team and even that would be limited to rare appearances in the wide areas. Wouldn't be a bad signing, but he's a P*mpey fan and also ex-Bompey so not sure how well he would go down at SMS or whether he would even want to come here! He'll go to Hammers. SuperMikey Posted 6 March, 2012 Share Posted 6 March, 2012 Money talks and not many, if any Matt le tissiers left in the world mate... If money talks he'll go to West Ham. They'll be offering the same if not more than us. In terms of signings there are some quality players who are going to be moving clubs in the summer - Graham Dorrans isn't getting into the squad at West Brom for a start. Need to be looking at players with Prem experience really.

Jos and Jose have built up a quality partnership.
The9 Posted 6 March, 2012 Share Posted 6 March, 2012 Hasn't Lafferty got a history of off-pitch indiscretions ? Might be thinking of someone else, but if not, I don't think he'd meet our rigorous screening programme somehow.

Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 6 March, 2012 Share Posted 6 March, 2012 Steven Davis would be a good shout to strengthen the midfield. I like Deano as competition to Morgan & Cork but Davis is a level up.

This Charming Man Posted 6 March, 2012 Share Posted 6 March, 2012 Hopefully not. Not one of my Rangers mates are sad to see him go, if he's not good enough for them (I'm fully aware he's only left because of financial reasons, but he still didn't cut it up there, in their opinion) he's not good enough for us. Window Cleaner Posted 6 March, 2012 Share Posted 6 March, 2012 Great gesture he made today. Young player on a free? Worth a look til end of season maybe? Probably not anywhere near good enough for us anyway. Don't know why we're even said to be interested, don't need any more wingers and we have our own young players to fit it. DanW Posted 6 March, 2012 Share Posted 6 March, 2012 Carlos Bocanegra and Maurice Edu both do very well for the USA national team. Having either of them on Saints would be a wonderful addition, regardless of the fact that we have a deep squad as it is.
ThreeSixty Posted 6 March, 2012 Share Posted 6 March, 2012 "On 15 August, Rangers confirmed that they had turned down a £400,000 bid from Bolton Wanderers for the player" Must have something about him, young, room for improvement. Nah, lets just write him off.
