southamptonbairn Posted 5 March, 2012 Posted 5 March, 2012 Palace v Saints tickets on sale today on their site. No chance of this going to General Sale.
Saint Garrett Posted 5 March, 2012 Posted 5 March, 2012 Any chance anyone would be able to get me 2 tickets for this ?
oldsarum Posted 5 March, 2012 Posted 5 March, 2012 Palace v Saints tickets on sale today on their site. No chance of this going to General Sale. Leeds and West ham both had 4000 tickets for Palace so hopefully Saints will get the same allocation
Jack Posted 5 March, 2012 Posted 5 March, 2012 That's going to be a big weekend. Skates on the saturday then Palace away Monday. Tuesday off work I reckon
This Charming Man Posted 5 March, 2012 Posted 5 March, 2012 Hopefully they will give us 4,000. Would make a right old racket in that away end with those kind of numbers.
stkev7 Posted 5 March, 2012 Posted 5 March, 2012 This will be a similar away day to Leyton Orient last season, lets just hope we do get a good allocation. No excuses for not turning up for this one.
Jack Posted 5 March, 2012 Posted 5 March, 2012 No excuses for Millwall or Palace. Or any of the home games. Or Boro away - potentially huge.
Saint Garrett Posted 5 March, 2012 Posted 5 March, 2012 Should sell out Palace + Millwall before general sale, and We'll take a few to Boro I would have thought if we're still fighting for the title.
stkev7 Posted 5 March, 2012 Posted 5 March, 2012 Anyone who wants a ticket for Boro should get it, even if it is a promotion clinching fixture.
Joe Kirkup Posted 14 March, 2012 Posted 14 March, 2012 Potentially 5800 available - come on lets make it a real day to remember
This Charming Man Posted 14 March, 2012 Posted 14 March, 2012 Can't see us being given that many. Whatever WHU had will be the max we can take, I'd imagine.
action man Posted 14 March, 2012 Posted 14 March, 2012 on the official site .up to 5817 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2658576,00.html
Griffo Posted 14 March, 2012 Posted 14 March, 2012 5,817 is the whole stand. That would be f*cking class.
This Charming Man Posted 14 March, 2012 Posted 14 March, 2012 on the official site .up to 5817 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2658576,00.html Bloody hell!! That will be quality. We'll definitely sell that as well. Class.
Griffo Posted 14 March, 2012 Posted 14 March, 2012 Nothing better than 5,000 Saints taking over my local area.
Sour Mash Posted 14 March, 2012 Posted 14 March, 2012 Potentially 5800 available - come on lets make it a real day to remember Lets sell 3,000 for Millwall first.
Mouldy Coat Posted 14 March, 2012 Posted 14 March, 2012 I think we will sell more than initial allocation. I would expect a minimum of 4,500 there
action man Posted 16 March, 2012 Posted 16 March, 2012 just checking the trains .there are railworks this day and its 1hr 38 mins to clapham
COMEONYOUREDS Posted 19 March, 2012 Posted 19 March, 2012 just checking the trains .there are railworks this day and its 1hr 38 mins to clapham its not that much faster usually at the weekend.. no excuse!
stevegrant Posted 19 March, 2012 Posted 19 March, 2012 Quite surprised with that, only adds another 15-20 minutes onto the journey.
svetigpung Posted 19 March, 2012 Posted 19 March, 2012 If i can get tickets for Pimpey then i'll fly over for the weekend and this away day could be the best ever.
Sour Mash Posted 19 March, 2012 Posted 19 March, 2012 its not that much faster usually at the weekend.. no excuse! Normally an hour and 5 minutes to Clapham, enough extra travelling time to be annoying, not enough for it to really be off putting though.
COMEONYOUREDS Posted 19 March, 2012 Posted 19 March, 2012 Normally an hour and 5 minutes to Clapham, enough extra travelling time to be annoying, not enough for it to really be off putting though. depends which train you get ;-) its not enough to put anyone off i would hope. half an hour extra on a train = bring another couple of beers tbf, i live in london so no biggy, except i see the same **** on the saturday for the skates game. annoying
100%Red&White Posted 19 March, 2012 Posted 19 March, 2012 Where exactly is the issue with a slight delay on the train? If you were planning to leave Southampton at 10:00 just get the 9:00 - you'll actually gain beer time!
This Charming Man Posted 19 March, 2012 Posted 19 March, 2012 If anything SWT are saving you money. That 30/40mins you lose in the boozer, you spend drinking cheap cans from the offie on the rattler.
stkev7 Posted 19 March, 2012 Posted 19 March, 2012 depends which train you get ;-) its not enough to put anyone off i would hope. half an hour extra on a train = bring another couple of beers tbf, i live in london so no biggy, except i see the same **** on the saturday for the skates game. annoying Agreed on the Skates game front, I'll be coming via London and was hoping to get into town early doors so this means a ridiculously early start now.
Jack Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 Agreed on the Skates game front, I'll be coming via London and was hoping to get into town early doors so this means a ridiculously early start now. Embrace it as a completely valid excuse to start drinking at 8am. I almost felt compelled to explain to the person who served me a box of beers at 8.10 on Saturday morning, that I was going to London for a football match and that she shouldn't f*cking look at me like I'm some sort of scumbag alcoholic.
stkev7 Posted 20 March, 2012 Posted 20 March, 2012 There is a dirty little off licence / newsagents outside Waterloo that I've frequented over the years before 8am, the bloke always looks at me strangely when I buy a few cans.
COMEONYOUREDS Posted 21 March, 2012 Posted 21 March, 2012 Agreed on the Skates game front, I'll be coming via London and was hoping to get into town early doors so this means a ridiculously early start now. may be worth checking about travelling via reading, could save you some time.. think i'll probably end up coming down on the friday and staying over now
ladysaint Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 Cheap train tickets available on a 4 for 2 basis works out from Southampton to Thornton Heath under a tenner each.
Michelle Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 Cheap train tickets available on a 4 for 2 basis works out from Southampton to Thornton Heath under a tenner each. How are you getting that Jan? Only options coming up for me are go Mon, return Tuesday! =/
stevegrant Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 How are you getting that Jan? Only options coming up for me are go Mon, return Tuesday! =/ You can't buy GroupSave tickets online, if you want to buy in advance (no real advantage of doing so), you'd have to do so at a station ticket office. Also, the online booking systems don't appear to recognise that the 9th is a bank holiday, so the fares are ****ing ridiculous
JRM Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 How are you getting that Jan? Only options coming up for me are go Mon, return Tuesday! =/ these groupsave deals seem to disappear from the net once saints away games are on i've noticed, worth popping down the station and buying them at the window in advance.

Dan Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 Phoned SWT up earlier £30 group savers, £7.50 each. However Hedge end to thornton heath, takes 4 hours and you need to go via fratton!
action man Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 groupsave4 from soton to east croydon is £30 the same from east croydon to thorton heath is £8.80,so 4 of u can go for £38.80
ladysaint Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 Got group save from Soton to East Croydon and then East Croydon to Thornton Heath via Barnham for less than £10 each which is a good deal, more money to spend in the pub. We went to the station and got our tickets but it did also give me the option on Wednesday night of booking these online.
JRM Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 i wouldn't recomment going on the southern service to East Croydon, it goes right along the coast then up from Hove i think, passing by Havant (skates home to Millwall that day)
Barry the Badger Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 We got groupsave online from Soton to Clapham and then clapham to selhurst, £18 each, not too bad. They do seem to withdraw them online once they realise what's happening though.

We went to the station and got our tickets but it did also give me the option on Wednesday night of booking these online. Worth bearing in mind that the "via Barnham" route takes almost twice as long as going via Clapham Junction and there's only one an hour (if you're lucky)

Ha ha 4 hours to Palace, good luck with that. Save you a few quid though, drink a load of cans rather than spend it down the pub.
ladysaint Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 Its not 4 hours we leave at 9.13 arriving at 11.33 plus there are delays on the Southampton/Clapham route of 40 minutes.
stevegrant Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 Its not 4 hours we leave at 9.13 arriving at 11.33 plus there are delays on the Southampton/Clapham route of 40 minutes. The one Dan's talking about is from Hedge End - the Southern trains don't stop there.
action man Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 i wouldn't recomment going on the southern service to East Croydon, it goes right along the coast then up from Hove i think, passing by Havant (skates home to Millwall that day) pompey dont play millwall till the following day

Saint_DB Posted 25 March, 2012 Posted 25 March, 2012 Anyone have any idea of how many tickets have been sold already? More to the point, will there be any left for GS on Wednesday? It is quite a large allocation.
alehouseboys Posted 25 March, 2012 Posted 25 March, 2012 Anyone have any idea of how many tickets have been sold already? More to the point, will there be any left for GS on Wednesday? It is quite a large allocation. Gonna be a close call I'd say. We're now getting extra tickets in batches of around 1,000, which appear to be selling quickly as soon as we get them. Another 900 went on sale yesterday so that's 5,000 we've already had. Palace will give us another final 800 of the 5,800 probably tomorrow and then, if you're still waiting, it's just a case of fingers crossed to see if they release the extra 'sterile' areas which could get us up around 7,000.
StDunko Posted 25 March, 2012 Posted 25 March, 2012 Just bought 8 online a few mins ago. Bring on Dellhurst Park 2.
svetigpung Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 Just bought 8 online a few mins ago. Bring on Dellhurst Park 2. well thats great Dunko....leave some for us on wednesday
