Stattmeister Posted 5 March, 2012 Posted 5 March, 2012 With Ipswich's current form they'll come at us, confident of the win there's no doubt. That's where we are at our strongest, when teams come at us - so let them attack, we've struggled with teams that park the bus at SMS often, and I don't think they will. Bring it on I say. With that in mind Barnsley will be a stern test, make no bones about it - this is not a gimme.
Ohio Saint Posted 5 March, 2012 Posted 5 March, 2012 I've decided to be totally optimistic. It's nothing based on knowledge or common sense. At this stage, you just have to pick an emotion and run with it, I think.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 5 March, 2012 Posted 5 March, 2012 I would have taken 7 points from this week, but now the toughest is out of the way, will be really dissapointed with anything less than the maximum. To go to Leeds, on TV, Warnocks first home game, play poorly and still win was a massive massive result. I've no doubt the players will be thinking the same, this is a great opportunity and bearing a Kelvin like performance from Ipswich or Barnsley keeper, can not see us slipping up. Leicester at home is a bannana skin for Reading. Looking at our remaining fixtures, ww should really cross that line.
mitch01 Posted 5 March, 2012 Posted 5 March, 2012 If we win tomorrow night it would be a huge result. We should be able to follow it up with a win against Barnsley and go into a few tricky away games with loads of confidence. Plus its about time Reading dropped points where they shouldn't, we could be 7 points above them in a weeks time, 8 if you include goal difference. COYR, WIFM, WASWTOTL, WTFILN etc
Ampersound Posted 5 March, 2012 Posted 5 March, 2012 Whatever happens I bet Chopra scores I'll stick a tenner on him to score.. That'll stop it. It worked for Austin when we played burnley
ThreeSixty Posted 5 March, 2012 Posted 5 March, 2012 I think we are going to screw up every week. I'm a saints fan after all.
thorpie the sinner Posted 5 March, 2012 Posted 5 March, 2012 nervous about tomorrow but have to say 6 points!! Nothing else will do at home! Hope Adam is back though!
Wes Tender Posted 5 March, 2012 Posted 5 March, 2012 In football mate, nothing would surprise me. All I know is that I personally cannot see where Reading and West Ham will faulter..... but that's how I felt about Huddersfield last year. I dearly hope my apprehension is missplaced.Well, let's have a look at where West Ham have faltered so far, as an indication of their lack of invincibility. Losses to Cardiff, Aldershot (Carling Cup), Ipswich, Southampton, Burnley, Reading, Derby, Sheffield Wednesday (FA Cup) and Ipswich again. They have a difficult run in, against teams like Reading, Middlesborough, Birmingham, Brighton and Hull. Who will win the Reading match? Whichever team it is, is good for us if we can win our match that day.
offix Posted 5 March, 2012 Posted 5 March, 2012 I'd settle for a draw at Ipswich, but we have to win Barnsley
Dr Who? Posted 5 March, 2012 Posted 5 March, 2012 Sit tight and enjoy lads, it is going to be fun. This is what football is all about. We WILL lose games that we think we will not, and also hold on for all 3 points against the odds. I love saints, and football in general COYR!
Dr Who? Posted 5 March, 2012 Posted 5 March, 2012 I'd settle for a draw at Ipswich, but we have to win Barnsley We need to win our home games, so should be aiming for 6 points.
