83 pts should be more than enough, as long as we don't lose to reading.

Just 4 home wins from 11 games is a bit of a miserable win prediction though.

Beating Peterborough at least must be within our capabilites. That and a draw at Palace would make the count about right.

Were you sat behind me last night by any chance?

Constant ''I think Adkins is out of his depth at this football club''

''If we go up, it will be in spite of Adkins''

''If we go up, we need to change to manager to give ourselves a chance''

Mongsville.

Might have been Lard though.

I think we'll win quite a few of our home games, but I do expect us to slip up again at some point. It's the way this league is, it's crazy.

We'll probably win away at Boro and drop points at home to Coventry for example!! crazy league.

That would put us on 83 points, Alps. What do you have for the other teams?

Reading

10.03.12 - Leicester City (H) DRAW

13.03.12 - Doncaster Rovers (A) WIN

17.03.12 - Barnsley (A) WIN

20.03.12 - Peterborough United (A) DRAW

24.03.12 - Blackpool (H) DRAW

31.03.12 - West Ham United (A) LOSE

06.04.12 - Leeds United (H) WIN

10.04.12 - Brighton & Hove Albion (A) DRAW

13.04.12 - SAINTS (A) DRAW

17.04.12 - Nottingham Forest (H) WIN

21.04.12 - Crystal Palace (H) DRAW

28.04.12 - Birmingham City (A) DRAW

19 points, which would put them 1 point behind us, but I am not confident of my Leicester prediction.

Their run-in does look a bit trickier than ours.

WHU

07.03.12 - Watford (H)

10.03.12 - Doncaster Rovers (H)

17.03.12 - Leeds United (A)

20.03.12 - Middlesborough (H)

24.03.12 - Burnley (A)

27.03.12 - Peterbrough United (A)

31.03.12 - Reading (H)

06.04.12 - Barnsley (A)

09.04.12 - Birmingham City

14.04.12 - Brighton & Hove Albion

17.04.12 - Bristol City (A)

21.04.12 - Leicester City (A)

28.04.12 - Hull City (H)

Having trouble seeing them dropping any points at all, to be honest.

I think 17 points Saints will get. I dont think it will be enough for 2nd as other teams are stronger for example West Ham, Reading and Birmingham. We have 6 so called easy or winnable games but thats where Saints come unstuck.

We should have killed of last nights game 4-1, and thats againts a team with nothing to play for!!!

SAINTS

06.03.12 - Ipswich Town (H) - 1

10.03.12 - Barnsley (H) - 3

17.03.12 - Millwall (A) - 3

20.03.12 - Hull City (A) -0

24.03.12 - Doncaster Rovers (H) - 1

31.03.12 - Blackpool (A) - 0

07.04.12 - Portsmouth (H) - 1

09.04.12 - Crystal Palace (A) - 3

13.04.12 - Reading (H) - 0

17.04.12 - Peterborough United (A) - 1

21.04.12 - Middlesbrough (A) - 1

28.04.12 - Coventry City (H) - 3

Well, you've included Ipswich in your 17, so that means 82 points total, which I reckon means 3rd place.

17 points - play-offs :(

FWIW, we are bound to have one more cluster-f*ck somewhere, so we also need one rabbit-out-of-hat.

In which case I reckon we are looking at the blue few as the cluster-f*uk (for me that's written in the stars, just like Nugent scoring for Leicester) and Middlesbrough.

Some people need to get a grip.

Reading have come on a great run, winning 7 on the spin. The fact that they're still behind us, even if they do win their game in hand shows that we've been pretty decent after our mini blip. They could go on and win another 3 or 4 in a row, but histroy tells us 10/11 wins in a row in this league is pretty much impossible. Leicester will be tough for them, and if they lose that, our point Tuesday will look a lot better (provided we beat Barnsley). We then have Millwall away and Hull away, followed by Donny home. Pick up 6 points in those 3 and we'll still be above them (imo). That'll leave us top in the top 2 facing Blackpool on the last day of March, when they go to West Ham. We have 2 winnable home games in April, 2 easyish away fixtures and a home game against the team directly in competition with us. They go to Brighton, have Leeds, come to us and have to go to Birmingham, our toughest will be a trip to Boro.

Hudders chased us during the run in and couldn't pip us and I dont think Reading will either.

Does that just apply to Southampton or other teams as well? Any other information you have about the future, that you can share with us on here, would be much appreciated. Cheers.

Only 6 points in 3 games? Can you imagine the furore on here if we ONLY get 6 points from any given 3 games in succession?!

I still think we can get 2 points per game until the end of the season which would give us 88 points and automatic. Most are assuming that we will not beat some of the stronger teams away but we've proved now that we can perform away and get results. 4 points from West Ham and Leeds proves that.

How many of these stronger teams beat us?

I knew that if we didn't get a win last night that there would be a lot of pansies whinging. We're still strong favourites to be promoted and there are loads of games yet.

we will go up in 2nd place...we will get 85/86 points.....

we will beat reading by 1-2 points into 2nd..

reading play blackpool, leicester, brighton, saints, west ham, brum and will get 12 points...MAX probably 10...those 6-8 points dropped will be enough to see us ahead of them

I think we will lose at palace and Blackpool....draw at boro and hull and win the rest

Listening to Hammers on BBC Radio London. 1st half was dire. West Ham started 2nd half very brightly, and were starting to build a lot of pressure on the Watford goal... right up until Dale Bennett was stretchered off for Watford on a back-board in a neck brace. There was about a 10 minute delay for the injury, so will be a lot of added time. Since the injury Watford were dominant up until 5 mins after their goal. Since then, Vaz Te and Baldock are on for Hammers, and they are well on top again now. Fingers crossed Watford can hold on under pressure.

Sorry, that last post was formatted when I typed and previewed it.

NoScript was blocking something, so it screwed up.

Watford should be 2 or 3 up now from counter attacks, but failed to convert good chances.

End to end now...
