Remaining Away Games

Our remaining away fixtures are a bit of a mixed bag, with a fair few tough looking games still to come. Going by the average points needed for promotion in the last few seasons, winning our home games and drawing our away game should get us enough points. However, I think it's far more likely that we will do it by winning 2 or 3 of them as there's a good chance we will lose some.

The remaining away games are Leeds, Millwall, Hull, Blackpool, Crystal Palace, Peterborough and Middlesborough. Obviously should we draw all of them, we'd get 7 points. Out of that lot I think wins at Millwall, Palace and Peterborough are all realistic targets, as well as the odd point from the others.

Just wondering how others feel we will fair away from home for the rest of the season, and whether we'd be (hypothetically) better off drawing all of them (therefore not giving the likes of Blackpool any points over us) or winning the 'easier' games and losing others?

Our away games are as tricky looking as our home ones are straightforward. I'd go for 9 wins from all matches myself, though wins at Millwall and Peterborough plus not losing in the others would be decent depending on how West Ham, Reading and Birmingham are doing.

Around about 13 points from that lot IMO but of course wins at Blackpool, Hull and Boro would mean much more to us as they're in the chasing pack, as oppose to wins at Posh, Palace and Millwall.

We need to win our home games too, so every away point matters hugely. We're the masters of our own destiny, keep the confidence up and hopefully we can repeat our end of season form of last season.
