Strange decission really. Any new manager coming in will know that he has to get them promoted - who really wants the task from here on in, especially if the first couple of game dont go to plan. Somebody will take it obviously (big big club) but seems a bit knee jerk to me.

I can't remember who it was, but I read something in the Sun on Sunday that Megson would be fired so Milan could hire somebody else who was more closely affiliated with the club - the name has escaped me though.

 

EDIT: It was Dave Jones. Would be a cracking appointment for them!

more so than meson...who played for them and who's dad was skipper for them...?

Blimey. Fair enough! I didn't know that.

 

From memory the article in the Sun mentioned his replacement having a close affiliation with the club. Must've got mixed up in my mind.

Dave Jones is a great appointment for them imo. Will have them pushing for play-offs in the Championship by this time next year with proper investment.

 

I'd hate to be a manager of any of the top clubs in that division. The competition is fierce. I thought it was tough when we were down there - blimey. Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United, Huddersfield, Charlton...
