I'm I right in thinking the assit came from Jose Fonte? I was just reading the football league team of the week on the FL website and they've got Danny Butterfield in the team at RB becuase he set up Lamberts first goal....I could of sworn it was Jose. Link below

And it was good to see him getting so far forward. Think he's feeling his lack of a goal this season - getting well behind Jos!

Who isn't!!

Did you notice on Saints Player the hat trick matchball RLSGM was holding had been signed by the team and Jos's said something to the effect that he still wasn't too far behind Rickie in the goals scoring department LOL

Think he said he's only three hat-tricks behind RL, which tbf, isn't many.

Jos is amusing. A load of the players were in The pitcher and piano on Saturday and he was joking around then. Last night they watched a film in Eastleigh and Jos was berating Richardson about the five pence he owes him saying he never forgets his debts! Richardson was also moaning about the three quid parking charge. I'm not sure it's something a football should be too concerned with!

I think he has a fantastic influence on the team spirit. We've really picked up since he came back.

Could well do! Good to see all different nationalities mixing though. At some clubs you do get those with common languages who pair off together. At pitcher there was guly, schneiderlin, chaplow, forecast (chatting up a girl in the bar on his own) and jos. last night there was Richardson, barnard, jos and seaborne.

It's just pointless though. Deliberately derailing an interesting discussion for no reason other than to try and bait a response out of me.

How did you work that one out? The thread is about who set up Lamberts first goal, which was resolved after the first couple of posts.

If anything you derailed it by mentioning your "coincedental" run ins with some of the players.

Do yourself a favour and get a ****ing sense of humour and stop playing the poor little victim all the time.

SOmeone mentioned Jos with reference to his sense of humour so it was a natural discussion point. Lets move on now and in future lets try and talk about Southampton rather than me as a poster and subjects that have been done to death. I have a great sense of humour thanks, but it's hardly amusing to bring up something that was discussed in detail over the last fe days in a totally unoriginal manner. Even if you meant it as a 'joke.' Lets move on.

He was about 10 yard's inside the Watford half....

Yeah, was gonna say that... it wasn't what I'd call a deliberate assist, more of a hopeful ball in, but it doesn't matter how they come!

There was a twitter exchange between Jordan Sibley, Tom Coull and others because they were the ones who originally thought it was Richardson's assist, and even convinced Jacqui Oatley, covering the game for 5Live, to say so as well... they then tweeted when it became apparent that the FL team of the week contained Richardson, because it had possibly all stemmed from their mistake.

All completely pointless really (a bit like hypo and Dig Dig's exchange above really! :) ) but there you go.

In many modern football systems one of the CBs is denominated as the "relancer" and one as an out and out stopper.

In our formation I guess José is the relancer and Jos is the stopper and tidier upper. Probably why we're so much better with that pairing because Martin probably isn't as good at starting attacks as José and then there's the left/right factor.
