I asked the guy about the extra tickets and I asked if the ones I had bought were for upper or lower. He just said all the tickets that we have are for the upper tier. That's exactly what he said. Just being a messenger. Maybe he is wrong but they are his words exactly.

We've played at The (New) Den 6 times (as far as I can tell - 2 FA Cup, 2 Championship, 1 League One, 1 pre-season friendly), and not once has the lower tier been open.
