Millwall Away

Other than bubble trips, Millwall is the safest away game in the country these days.

it wasnt when QPR went there, away fans were not allowed onto the station so were kept behind right next to where the home fans come out. Missiles started raining down on both sides and the gate separating us was seconds from being torn down by the away fans.

The filth just stood there and watch it happen and the fans couldnt move away. They could have stopped all this by holding fans halfway up the path to the station but i think the encourage trouble so they can keep their overtime. I did think the "one david cameron" chant aimed at them was funny as it was announced that day their OT was being cut.

Wear a hat, it will stop coins from cutting you open when it kicks off.

Funny, the 2 times i have been there, I haven't even smelt a Millwall fan.

Sorry for the misjudgement. It's just that it can be hard to match mong fans on here with mong fans you actually see at games. Last time at millwall away, there was a group of said mongs in full body paint, wigs, hats etc. Shameful.

F**k me, people were actually out enjoying themselves? Whats the world coming to? I blame the daily mail, shocking. FFS.

I always enjoy myself at football. Most people do, without having the urge to go out looking like an utter bellend, IMO.

Is that Browns ? we got a couple of 17/18 year old lads with us, do you reckon they will get in ok are there any doorman mate.

Went there for the WHU game and there were no doormen. Just walked straight in. The bar staff may have an issue but there are plenty more places of this genre if you keep walking. Just for the record dont bother with the private dances. This place aint got nuttin on FYEO!!

Tend to disagree with that last line. Normal pub prices for beer with a good selection, free to get in and private dances a tenner if you want one, though I agree fyeo is a bit classier.

Why have we not sold this out yet? Our support is weird at times to put it politely.

we had about the same number of tickets for Brighton that sold out in 6 hours! these have been on sale for a week now would have thought season ticket holders would have snapped them up for a spring day up in London, visit HMS Belfast and the London Dungeon at London Bridge pre-match.

Especially, when around the same time last season we played Orient away. I was out of the country, and I had countless people ringing and texting me asking if they could use my customer number to get a ticket. It was the same the season before, about 3000 to Orient and about 1500 to Millwall, and its much easier to get to.

Exactly. Millwall is one of the easiest/cheapest days out of the year, bet there is a mad rush for Palace tickets.

Understandable though. My wife went apoplectic when I said I was taking the nipper to Millwall but doesn't bat an eyelid for any other game.

Millwall still have a scary reputation for very many folk.

Many folk need to grow a pair

I got mine today n am also mental enough to get one for Hull as well so am looking forward to both of them as I've already doneMilwall already as well in the FA Cup and is easy to get to by Train and I love London games and I have never been to Hull

before as a Saints fan so am looking forward to it But we'l see so Bring It On!!!

Why? It's their choice whether to go or not.

Of course they do. It's just that millwall being 'scary' is very wide of the mark and a soft excuse. Over the last few years, there has been a LOT more trouble with Palace than there has been with Millwall, and I bet we sell out 4k at Palace.

Millwall is just another London away game now, a great day out. In my opinion, people need to be less soft if they think Millwall is scary.

So where is everyone drinking for this one? Never done Millwall before, but I assume London Bridge somewhere?

To be honest, I'll probably avoid London Bridge until after the game. With such a big away following, the known pubs round that area will be packed. Charing Cross might be a better bet.

charing cross...go to the moon over the mall then leg it on the over land to south bermondsay

I used to work by charing cross...in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office....good times then......sadly, now they are not, I hate my job

'Tis true, spying isn't what it used to be now that you have to be politically correct about it and not just kill the opposition like Jack Bauer would.:smug:

Good to see we've got extra tickets. I'll be drinking in Greenwich before this one, LB way too packed and CX too central for me. Greenwich only a short bus ride to ground past Deptford on the Canada Water route. Hoping to be drinking outside the Gypsy Moth in the sunshiiiine.... Don't stray too far from SE10 though, bandit country...

This is excellent news, the initial allocation was the upper tier, so these 1000 must be lower, it might be all we get if they keep the front couple of rows empty and the blocks at each end as segregation, Millwall aren’t used to having away fans that close to them at The Den.

Still just over 3000 should be a top turnout and atmosphere.

The away fans train back to London Bridge after the game will be packed.

For the cup match not everyone could fit on train, I had to catch next one along with about a hundred others so I think they need 2 trains for this game

My lot didn't make it on the first train either. To be fair, it's just a case of wait 5 mins for the next one to come along. Edited by Sour Mash

London Bridge/Borough has about 50 good boozers within walking distance of the train station that I could name and I've used before. Won't be a problem getting a beer around there and it's still by far the best shout for drinking when going to Millwall.

I'm sure a fair few will, but a) it would be pointless coming up to London and then just drinking at Waterloo. b) There are hardly any good pubs around Waterloo Station.

There is a good pub outside London bridge station that was full of Saints fans for the FA cup tie. its only a 2 min walk from London bridge. Think its on Brough high street road. The something and banker rings a bell
