Amesbury Saint Posted 26 February, 2012 Share Posted 26 February, 2012 We can, with help from Forest and Bristol City, send them down at our match by beating them. After the derby they have 5 matches left - max 15 points. They are 5 points adrift now. So Forest / City have to do 10 points better over the next 8 matches than Pompey. Mathematically possible, but looking at City's fixtures perhaps unlikely.
Ewell Posted 26 February, 2012 Share Posted 26 February, 2012 It seems some are more fixated with sending the blue few down rather than concentrating on our own promotion push. I know which camp I am in.
Colinjb Posted 26 February, 2012 Share Posted 26 February, 2012 Or we could just abide by the same logic as the blue few and ignore mathematics entirely. If they go down after losing at our place then naturally 'we sent them down.'

More interested in what we do, if Pompey go down so be it, we are going up so why should I care, we won't be playing them again for a while in the league. Wish people would stop fixating with a tin-pot team down the road, we have bigger fish to fry.

70's Mike Posted 26 February, 2012 Share Posted 26 February, 2012 TBH i am more interested in getting points rather than sending them down, that is what small minded supporters like the skates live on. "who the f*ck is laughing now"
hasper57saint Posted 26 February, 2012 Share Posted 26 February, 2012 I am not in the slightest interested whether the Skates go down or not. All I'm concerned about is OUR results. When we play them in April we will win. If our win means they go down that's their problem.
Whitey Grandad Posted 26 February, 2012 Share Posted 26 February, 2012 I would just be happy with three points no matter who we are playing. A big win would be nice, please.

Turkish Posted 26 February, 2012 Share Posted 26 February, 2012 i have to laugh at their Pack the Park campaign. 14,000 for round one, 17,000 for round 2, helped by 3,000 away fans for the visit of probably the biggest club in the championship. Where are the worlds greatest supporters? They seem to be turning their back on their club in their hour of need. They seem intent on telling everyone how great their support is, yet the facts dont quite back this up.
