Crazy Diamond Posted 25 February, 2012 Posted 25 February, 2012 Surprised no one has mentioned this yet! The joint owner of Bournemouth, Maxim Denim, brought his wife to the game today, and at half time with the team losing, she was taken to the tunnel and did the team talk! At full time Mitchell explained things and it has been suggested he was a bit worse for wear, but it got worse. Much worse. He appeared on 606 to talk to Mark Chapman about the scenario, he then swore THREE TIMES. He said the players were 'p*ssed off', he accused Mark Chapman of twisting his words and talking 'b*llcks' and finally, he said something along the lines of 'I don't want to say the club was f*cked'. This after a few months ago, he comes on the pitch to address the fans over the PA system and apparently challenging one of the club's fans to a fight. Never a dull moment for the bucket rattlers.
kpturner Posted 25 February, 2012 Posted 25 February, 2012 Total cock on 5-live. What a classless yob. Chappers was fuming. I read he also got cut short on Solent for bad language but dunno if that is true.
Crazy Diamond Posted 25 February, 2012 Author Posted 25 February, 2012 The 'clean' version: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01cdnlb Go to 52:21
markr27 Posted 25 February, 2012 Posted 25 February, 2012 606 now up, swearing has been removed but the reactions have not. 52:25 ish onwards to 57:00... http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01cdnlb/606_25_02_2012/
shirleysfc Posted 25 February, 2012 Posted 25 February, 2012 What a complete tool he is! Fair play to Chappers for the way he handled him.
Colinjb Posted 25 February, 2012 Posted 25 February, 2012 Yeah, he has been slightly 'lubricated' ahead of this interview. Mark Chapman did well and showed him to be the prat he is. Thank heavens our neighbours are nuts.
Crazy Diamond Posted 25 February, 2012 Author Posted 25 February, 2012 Let me be very clear about this. Bournemouth is a small club with ideas well above their station. The majority of their fans are very odd. They will never be a big club. I would be surprised if this investment by Maxim Denim didn't turn out to be a flawed concept that ends them up in more trouble. I'm not the only one that thinks that.

Frankly, i'm not too clear about the details. Russian guy buys out 50% of the club. Ok. He seems to be quite rich, where are the pitfalls?
saintmatt Posted 25 February, 2012 Posted 25 February, 2012 The swearing was indefensible, but take that out of the equation I don't think he comes across too badly (he didn't sound very drunk to me). Bournemouth fans need to remember where they were when he took over
jam Posted 25 February, 2012 Posted 25 February, 2012 I blame the Bournemouth fans. They're always moaning about Bradbury so Mitchell brings in a nice lady to do the team talk and apparently that's wrong as well. No wonder he's turned to drink...
Crazy Diamond Posted 25 February, 2012 Author Posted 25 February, 2012 Frankly, i'm not too clear about the details. Russian guy buys out 50% of the club. Ok. He seems to be quite rich, where are the pitfalls? No proof that he has the money. Simple as that. If he's that rich he surely buys out the club from Mitchell, who himself says he only wants the best for the club. The BBC actually asked the FA and Football League to conduct a fit and proper persons test and they refused saying they couldn't be bothered. That's a fact. They have since done the test, but saying you can't be bothered to conduct a serious investigation says a lot about the quality of the test and the amount of care that goes into it.

Skates mk 2, Gotcha. Naturally though the Cherries fans are savvy enough to be questioning this, after all, they lack the webbed toes of the few and have a few more braincells?
Crazy Diamond Posted 26 February, 2012 Author Posted 26 February, 2012 Solent have cut the clip down to the three or four minutes that matter. http://audioboo.fm/boos/684595#t=0m21s The more I listen the more it seems that he has indeed been on the sauce.
SuperSAINT Posted 26 February, 2012 Posted 26 February, 2012 Eddie Mitchell : P.R. Guru. This weekend keeps getting better.

krissyboy31 Posted 26 February, 2012 Posted 26 February, 2012 I wants to hear the sweary versionsssss! There was one on Twitter last night that was intact with the swear words bleeped out rather than removed completely. It was quite easy to make your own mind up on what the words were though.
Bearsy Posted 26 February, 2012 Posted 26 February, 2012 Maybes if I ring Eddie up at homes he can tells me?
Pancake Posted 26 February, 2012 Posted 26 February, 2012 Since when we're "****ed" ad "********" swear words?
RonManager Posted 26 February, 2012 Posted 26 February, 2012 He's apologised. "I'm f****** sorry, you f******* c***s"
Crazy Diamond Posted 26 February, 2012 Author Posted 26 February, 2012 Since when we're "****ed" ad "********" swear words? I once said ****ed on television and was severely reprimanded. It's a swear word these days.
