I dined with Adam Lallana's father on Wednesday and can assure you that Adam's groin injury is not too bad. He is back doing line running. Will he be fit for Saturday? On Wednesday it was too early to tell. As the VMAN said last weekend, Leeds might come too soon. Adam is desperate to play every game but he has gained a level of maturity and knowledge of his own body mechanics to make the right call along with the Medical team.

I appreciate the updates from you and VMAN

Cheers

Really looking forward to tomorrow. This is what supporting Saints is all about for me, stupidly long journey, late kick off, on Sky and poor numbers. Just adds to the satisfaction if/when we win. Can't wait.

blackpool 1-0 hull at the mo

hull are shyyyyyyyte

blackpool look very dangerous every time they go forward...they throw everyone forward, every attack and play very wide...I can see them causing us no end of problems

I am also one of the mental ones on here who is also making the long trip to Leeds along with my Mate who I also go with when he can and this more than likely along

with Hull, Blackpool n Middlesbrough will be the long journeys I will be doing for the rest of this season unless their are other ones I have left off!

I am also one of the ones who will also be paying this extortionate price as well But we may have to get used to this seeing as we will more than likely be paying these

sort of prices when were in the Premiership!

I will be more than happy with a Draw up there, even though a Win would be Pretty Sweet!

Am going to go for 2-2 with goals from Lambert-(If Fit!) n Chaplow/Lalanna-(If Fit!) But we'l see!

COYR!!! :D

I watched them smash Cardiff 3-1 away and they were superb on the break both Phillips are in great form at the moment.

Will be a tough game but hopefully a better performance than the last time I went...although Surman nearly won it with last kick.

Morgan gave the worst performance on the right I have ever seen and was rightfully substitued.

I was amazed West Ham stuffed them.

I can see why a good team would

when they attack they throw everyone forward..you just need a bot of luck, good defence/keeper and hit them on the break. west ham have big fast players that can do that

tadanari lee would be good for this one

you beauty

hull score in last min

1-1 with injury time to go

One to thank Nigel Pearson for, taking Matty Fryatt to Hull and leaving him there when NP went back to Leicester.

@joshooiveld20: Strange that some newspapers use quotes when I never spoke to them. #wheredotheygetitfrom?! On the way to leeds for 3 important points! COYR

Wonder what the mis-quotes are?

But then you're typical of the boring, middle aged, middle class 'fans' that dominate these forums but have little in common with the ordinary, match going supporter.

And from the above I summaise you have appointed yourself as the sole arbiter of who is defined as "the ordinary match going supporter"

Surely every teams support base is made up of all ages and all kinds of different people. It is in the end supporting Southampton that brings us all together.

Greetings from the small town in Bradford that is Leeds! Currently in bed nursing a sore head, me and 6 mates came up yesterday for the weekend. Going to watch the lunchtime game down the pub and then roll on down to Elland Road, can't fecking wait! I'm going for 1-3 to us. COYR

looks about right,I'd hope for Richardson's return though.

I wonder if Richardson's latest injury lies behind the recent decision to extend Butterfield's contract?

What a vile little child you are.

"Rickie is fine," Nigel affirmed. "He trained Monday and Tuesday in two really hard training sessions, then Wednesday was a recovery day and he had another super training session on Thursday. He is running around and banging the ball in the back of the net.

Does anyone have any recommendations for pubs to watch the game tonight near the General hospital - I have to try to fit the game in around their visiting hours.

Is Lallana definitely missing (don't have time to read whole thread)? Somebody on Twitter said they served him "at work" this morning but that could have been at the airport for all I know.

incidentally, this is the first game I can remember the players travelling to via plane this season. Is it a special treat for them now we're approaching the run in, designed to keep them as fresh as possible etc?

Bit surprised Lee is on the plane up there after this showing for Japan.

It does appear surprising at first glance but maybe not considering the time difference. Chung plays 25 minutes Wednesday morning (our time) then gets a 12 hour sleeper back to London, even time for another kip in Southampton before training. Then rest of Thursday, Friday and Saturday to get back to normal. Will be down to the individual and the ability to sleep on a plane, but would not surprise me.

Won't be on here later ... so todays wether report to get us through the early part of the game!!

Still a bit hazy/dusty but clearing up after the crap of the last few days. Temps up to about 30, but now the sun has gone down even though it is 23 the wind chill makes it feel cooler.

Sorry i cant see us winning this id be over the moon if we do though since i put us to lose in the league predictor. Leeds with a new manager and a tough place to go, if we play the same team as last sat i think we might get a draw which i would be very happy about but 2-1 leeds.

I agree - off to the pub anticipating dissappointment.

any team news

From Adam Blackmore - BBC Commentator:

"Former Leeds players Dan Harding & Fraser Richardson, and Guly amongst Saints travelling contingent walking into tunnel #saintsfc"

"#saintsfc @RadhijaidiOff is also here. I don't think Lee will start after being in Japan- Sharp in? And I think @adlallana1 is a huge doubt"

"@BishhhhhyBoy Lambert's definitely fit, but Nigel was coy about @adlallana1 on Thursday - I expect @jasonpunch to start. #saintsfc"
