Call me over optimistic (because I am) but I think our run in to the end of the season will even surpass our form from the start of the season by winning everything at home, but with a better away record............There, you can blame me for saying that when we get our asses handed to us.

On Sky, new manager and maybe no Lallana. No chance.

We'll probably win 3-0 now

I have just got a sneaky feeling we might win this one despite all the factors that seem to point to a possible bad result. Another 3 nil victory... I hope ;)

Leeds are nothing special and especially leaky at the back. We may have to mix it, which we have proved we can do and I see no reason why we shouldn't be coming away with a win. West Ham away to Cardiff on Sunday so a chance to go 4 points clear ahead of that game, and possibly stay 4 points clear come FT between Cardiff & the Hammers.

Is this the game Tadanari is away for International duty ?

Only if the game has been moved to Wednesday. Japan v Uzbekistanis on WEdnesday 29th Feb. Whether he will be fit to play after a long flight back from Tokyo on Thursday is another question, but there is no reason for him not to be available other than jet lag (barring injury).

Just the type of game to mess us up. Lambo and certainly Lallana will be doubtful, so it could be Sharp and Lee up front with Puncheon on the left meaning lack of cohesion in front of goal. Yep - this has 3-1 Leeds written all over it and there'll be calls for Adkins to be sacked on here f'sure. (;

Adkins and Lambert have categorically stated he's fine, Lallana went for scans I think but last we heard (from the horse's mouth,) it was nothing serious so who knows where this info is from?

Davis

fox jos fonte richardson(if fit)/butterfield

Chaplow morgan cork lallana

Lambert lee

subs; martin, hammond, guly, puncheon, sharp. I would contemplate playing deano over morgan just because i can see it being a physical game especially in the centre on midfield.

Then i wouldn't have Guly in the side. SDR would be a better choice just because he does get stuck in and his pace would be useful later in the game.

He'd be lucky to get indoors back in Southampton much before Friday morning, I'd guess Saints are flying up to Leeds Friday eve. He'll be knackered even if he doesn't play for Japan. Can see Sharp starting this one - he's had a few weeks to work on his fitness and has a bit of a point to prove now.

Agree with that. Plus he's a South Yorkshire lad, shouldn't need much motivation for a match at Leeds.

FRAZER-----FONTE-----HOOIVELD------FOX

CHAPPY------CORK-----MORGAN---LALLANA

----------LAMBERT-----SHARP-------------

Subs: Martin, Hammond, Puncheon, De Ridder, Connolly

Lee probably won't travel with the squad for this one because he's flying to and from Japan in the space of a few days as well as playing an international fixture. I reckon Guly will be on the bench instead of Steve, but I would take Steve because his enthusiasm and directness will cause a rubbish Leeds defence all kinds of problems, whereas Guly will probably just get seven shades of sh!t kicked out of him if he tries to play his normal short-passing game. If Lallana isn't fit enough to start I would have Punch on the left instead and put Steve on around the 70 minute mark to capitalise on tired Leeds legs. Steve will want to get a game now and he will be unstoppable out there if he puts all of his effort into getting his place back in this squad.

I agree with the theory of Lee not being with the squad on Saturday due to the international fixture for him on Wednesday AND because we play again on Tuesday. Adkins will tell him he's resting on Saturday so he can play the whole game on Tuesday, and then Sharp or Lambert or whoever needs it can have Tuesday off.

That's a solid rotation move.

virgin/nippon arrive Heathrow mid afternoon THursday. Connecting flight to Leeds. Easily back in time for game. Not saying he will play but no reason he can't.

I'd go with the same team as Watford but with Sharp in for Lee and then De Ridder and Barnard on the bench instead of DC and Lee.

Possibly Frazer in from Butters if he is fit.

Post by THE VMAN after Watford game. words to the effect "AL is fine, but Saturday's game may come a bit soon for him..."

Which I would interpret as he has a niggle and it may take more than a week to ease.

just got my tickets. so expensive! but as i am currently living in leeds cant not go! people drinking in town before?

How far is it from the ground?

Lallana tweeted after the game that he is fine.

Jet lag???

As I previously stated in my earlier post. The idea that he would not be back in time though is silly.

On another point it will be interesting to see if Frazer is not available and Chung is not considered to be "fit" due to travelling whether we name a sub keeper or not.

All things considered (first class etc) I actually don't see a problem for Lee being on the bench. Don't change your sleep pattern etc.

Even if Lee wasn't on international duty I still think Adkins was going to pick Sharp. This boy is very hungry to achieve and this is just the game for him.

Not sure why people seem so convinced we'll lose this. Leeds are nothing spectacular.

It's the TSF way. Opposition teams are built up something chronic on here.

If Lallana and Lambert are fit....we WILL win this one

Sharp and Lambert up front will hopfully be too much for their week defence.

If not , then i'm a bit woried , Donny all over again. Would settle for a draw.

Drinking in pubs in the town or near the ground before the game?

Lot more choice around town. Always found it very limited around the ground.

No most football fans just use it as away to try and justify they're a bigger club (what ever that means) than whoever. Really if we get promoted as champions this season will anyone give a f.uck that WHU took 2000 more fans to Leeds for a game?

Quite.

The reason Man United take so many away fans, by the way, is that actually, the United fans at Elland road live in Menston, Skipton, Bradford...

I would rather we beat Leeds 1-0 in an empty stadium than lost 4-3 in front of 35,000 travelling fans.

But then you're typical of the boring, middle aged, middle class 'fans' that dominate these forums but have little in common with the ordinary, match going supporter.

Describe the typical 'ordinary match going supporter'?

I'm guessing we're talking about white, working class ex miners...
