I have several google accounts linked to my Youtube accounts. Some the search history is active, others not. If it's not active you've nothing to do. This has nothing to do with your computer stored files but with the totality that google keep. If you don't deactivate they can use your IP to create mischief in future.

Not much you can do about it really. It's either let big corporations like Google and Apple and Facebook know about what you like and to an extent what you do or just not use their services. It's worrying, but I guess privacy is gonna be thing of the past.

I dread to think of the scandals of the future and how easy it will be to find, for example something dogey an MP said on an internet forum or facebook or whatever when they were young. We're just going to have to accept more than ever to forgive easier. The quick regrettable quips of the past, that would have just been said to your friend, well now they are being left on the internet too forever.

People should check out their internet footprint sometime.

I was quite surprised to find that four of my five Google accounts did not have history turned on. I thought that history on would have been a default setting when you open a new account. I was surprised also to see no record of my Soul Blog searches (my biggest concern), maybe they were done a long time ago? Memory ain't like it used to be.

Thanks for the heads up Art.
