mightysaints Posted 22 February, 2012 Share Posted 22 February, 2012 I can view ipod films on the TV via a cable, works fine but when i stream through the ipod it doesn't come up on the tv. Apple must have some sort of a blocker. Is there any way round this.

Essruu Posted 24 February, 2012 Share Posted 24 February, 2012 You haven't made it clear what it is you've tried to do. How are you trying to stream the content? Are you trying to grab the content off the iPod to stream it from a different device? You can AirPlay it, but will need an AppleTV connected to your tv. mightysaints Posted 24 February, 2012 Author Share Posted 24 February, 2012 I have a Belkin cable that has 3nr jack connectors for the TV (stereo left and right and the yellow video) and a usp jack. I can veiw films that i have stored and downloaded on the TV but streaming say from the Justin TV web site will not come up on the tv, same for Sky Go. Essruu Posted 24 February, 2012 Share Posted 24 February, 2012 The Sky Go app is one of a few that blocks the wireless AirPlay feature. In the AirPlay instance, any video or audio is capable of being streamed to your tv via an AppleTV, but the app makers can block it. The same clearly applies to cabled play too. It's nothing to do with Apple or the device itself, it's Sky wanting people to subscribe to Sports/Films/whatever and not be able to have someone with a subscription come round your house (or provide you with login credentials) to be able to stream their service - despite the 2 device limit, they clearly ONLY want you to be able to watch it on the go, or watch it through your main box subscription if you want to watch it on your tv.
