How will you celebrate?

Echoing the annoying egotistical nature of the West Ham fans, who've apparently known they were getting promoted back to the top flight since they left it last May, I pose a hypothetical question to you.

It's April 28th 2012, around 3pm, and Saints have finished the season in an auto-promotion spot.

How will you celebrate on the day, and how will you celebrate for the rest of the summer? Points for inventiveness.

Do what my Dad did after the cup win in 76....go missing for 4 days whilst your heavily pregnant (with me!) wife worries where you are.

After 4 days, he turned up at the house, couldn't remember where he had been.

To this day, he still cant remember what happened from when he left Wembley.....to turning up at home 4 days later.

Now that's a proper way to celebrate !!!!

Well, last year we had a Saints Promotion BBQ on the grass outside the flat where we used to live and invited about 30 people - it absolutely p155ed it down for 6 hours and everyone got utterly rat-ar5ed in the flat instead, which involved some very dubious "cocktail" dreg mixing by 4am. One neighbour came along, the weird one.

This year, dunno.

I'll be crying with joy at the thought I can finally shrug off those memories of Bristol Rovers away in Feb '08 in the FA Cup, the last time I booed the team off the pitch, when I realised it was going to be a long long road back to where I had taken for granted SFC would stay.

I'll be running back to my car, having left the ground 5 minutes early to avoid the rush.

Ha ha I expect the streets will be clear for at least an hour.

I will do what I did last year and that's hang around a couple of hours, you can be sure Cortese will setup a bigger end of season celebration this time.

I'll drive East on the M27 with a big Saints flag fluttering from my car and drive round the caravan parks singing Shalalalala etc...wtf is laughing now and die happily albeit in a sh*thole.

Wouldn't it be better to hire one of those planes that fly around with a message towed behind it, to fly over that sh*thole saying something like 'Saints in the premier, Pompey?'

Don't want to count chickens yet, so will decide where and how to party when it's a certainty.

Me and 2 others are booked into a hotel for the night so we can celebrate in Southampton rather than salisbury. So we will go where the action is, where ever that may be. If you can point us in the direction of any resonable drinking establishments open until silly o'clock that would help as we only know pubs near the gound

I will celebrating with a lot of egg on my face.

I will be happy though.

Yeah but just think of all the fun you'll have with NEXT season's predicted finishes... given that 17th is the first safe place above Prem relegation. :D

In fact I'm now wondering if that was the plan all along, but I suspect I'd be giving you too much credit by assuming you really thought we'd go up and it's a one-year ahead set up.

Seems to be working out like that so far though.

If you offered me a 17th placed finish in the Prem next season now, I'd bite your fricking hand off. Yes please!

IF.....we get promoted I would be ecstatic with 17th place in the Premiership in our first season.

However, my prediction, as it was last summer, would be based on whether we showed any ambition or decisiveness in the summer transfer market.

I don't see the attraction in losing virtually every game and being one of the whipping boys of the league. If someone offered me 17th place now, I'd turn them down. The last few years supporting Saints have been the most fun I've ever had following them and would rather we stayed down here if that was the only option. I rather see us win, rather than watch some ponce like Nani run rings around us.

will have a tear in my eye as I watch the club there 3rd promotion to the top flight in my years of support

First one i was 12 and just exited we were going to play the big boys for the first time in Club's history

Second time 24 saw over 36 games that season and had a great time as Saints took over places like Luton, Fulham and Orient

Will be 58 this time and will get my enjoyment watching 2 sons faces after game

I will travel across to Newcastle for a night out! Well if I get a ticket, if not I will have a few beers at home with the wife and be smiling for the rest of the summer, being proud as per normal being a Saints fan.

Also I will know how happy all my Saints fans mates will be a raise a glass to each of them!

It might not be the epic bender, but hey that's the way it is.

Think I'll invite Eric round, cremate some Australian Rib Eye Steaks, Crack a case of OSH and then a case of Rioja, and then get the Zubrowka out.

Will fire up the old Karaoke Machine and lock it onto Sloop John B so we can sing all of this season's songs long into the night.

Failing that I may just find I have a really important Business Meeting in the UK on the Friday and will be staggering between Deacons & The Asia at around midnight in Fisherton Street before asking a taxi driver where my Mum lives and if he could find my front door key for me
