Not a true National Anthem but the Anthem of the Tiananmen Student Uprising in 1989. This song "The Blood Red Flag" is heard in this very moving video "June 4th Massacre" It was sung in the Square and at every commemoration of this tragic event.

 

 

 

Here is the translated text from this incredible Anthem

Prefer Radioheads National Anthem

The Russian anthem is brilliant - every note rings out blistering with pride and power.

 

French a close second.

 

Our pussified "national" "anthem" is nothing of the sort. Just a plea for an invisible man in the sky to protect our silly little monarchy that we should have grown out of by now.

 

Nothing to do with our nation, history or people. No wonder we lack national identity.
