supersonic Posted 21 February, 2012 Share Posted 21 February, 2012 Hi guys I'm currently doing my FYP at Winchester Uni and I'm conducting a questionnaire on the attitudes towards the London 2012 Olympic Games and I need some more participants. I'd be extremely thankful to any one who takes 5 minutes out of their time to complete my study. Thanks in advance. JackFrost Posted 21 February, 2012 Share Posted 21 February, 2012 Done, For the sake of being annoying, there is a howler of an apostrophe on question 6. "Cost's kept to a minimum"
Johnny Bognor Posted 21 February, 2012 Share Posted 21 February, 2012 Only took me 30 seconds. What do I win?

You're just about the only died-in-the-wool Tory on here with a brain (I suppose the exception proves the rule...).

Hatch Posted 21 February, 2012 Share Posted 21 February, 2012 Since when has Winchester had a Uni?
Window Cleaner Posted 21 February, 2012 Share Posted 21 February, 2012 (edited) Since when has Winchester had a Uni? probably means King Alf's. Teacher training place in days of yore.Once walked out with the Bursar's secretary. But pray enlighten me, how is a survey on opinions regarding the Olympic Games educationally useful? supersonic Posted 22 February, 2012 Author Share Posted 22 February, 2012 probably means King Alf's. Teacher training place in days of yore.Once walked out with the Bursar's secretary. But pray enlighten me, how is a survey on opinions regarding the Olympic Games educationally useful? yes the University is what used to be known as King Alfred's college, with a separate Business School which I attend and secondly it is only designed to help me pass my degree, not change the world, I'm looking to see if there are differences in audience behaviours and attitudes towards the Olympics between variables
Hamilton Saint Posted 22 February, 2012 Share Posted 22 February, 2012 I hate to be pedantic (but, then again, maybe I don't) but your opening page features this howler: "You're responses will remain completely anonymous ... " And you're [note the correct usage] hoping for a degree?

Somewhere In Northam Posted 22 February, 2012 Share Posted 22 February, 2012 Done, For the sake of being annoying, there is a howler of an apostrophe on question 6. "Cost's kept to a minimum" Costings!
Window Cleaner Posted 22 February, 2012 Share Posted 22 February, 2012 (edited) Costings! no just costs. Unless of course he's saying the cost is kept to a minimum. the abbreviation cost's would be about half correct in that case. Minty Posted 22 February, 2012 Share Posted 22 February, 2012 Also done - a couple of questions where my answer didn't directly fit with the options... for example I was neither in favour or against London hosting the games... I was quite ambivalent.
